    Isn't most of the Raiders fan base still in LA? It'll make no difference to them whether they're in Oakland or Vegas.

    No, new team.
    Takes the NHL to an odd number, so expect another new team to be added soon, probably another Canadian franchise.

    Raiders are a team that have a loyal backing, and I reckon most of their fanbase will follow them to Vegas
    Yet we are in bottom two for percentage of tickets sold for home games

    I think they really wanted the Rams to move back to LA as got history there and St Louis was not working financially so killed two birds with one stone. My understanding is that Chargers were granted an option to also move to LA almost as a way to try and get funding for a new stadium in San Diego but a hotel tax to raise funds from the city failed a public vote.

    Plus Raiders in LA would draw away from Rams return. Raiders in Vegas is probably a bigger draw than Chargers in Vegas too.

    I also think this move by Chargers will flop massively and the NFL owners secretly hope this will force the Spanos family to sell up to new owners, with much deeper pockets who will then fund a new stadium back in San Diego and take them back in a triumphant return. Fans flock back after missing the team for 5 years and everyone is happy again.

    If Rodgers pulls this off it really will be something. Fair play to the Falcons, they are dominating this game.
