  • And if it's about Murdoch as the boss I assume they are going to ban Sky sports too?
The Scum is a pile of shit but Liverpool banning them while taking millions from Sky is hypocritical, no?

    Good point.
It is a good point and there is a contradiction there.
But it was the Sun that went with the story not Sky Sports news and maybe there is a case for that particular arm of the Murdoch empire having their fingers burnt.
The gesture stands as a statement that you can't just print anything without consequences.
Not that that will stop the Murdoch machine

On the contrary, Liverpool are leading the way for the sky money to be divided up differently so that the "big clubs ", like themselves, get the lions share for being on sky more often.

In Pointless, when Alexander Armstrong asks someone what they do for a living, and he responds to them with "that's right" as if there's a chance that it might not have been. I don't know why, but it always amuses me.

It would be brilliant if one day they said "I'm a custodian" and he said "I'm sorry the answer I was looking for was 'caretaker' but thanks for playing" and sent them packing

This burglar getting stuck in a window, allowing the police to caution him with minimum fuss.

Just seen this and I can't help wondering:
Why only cautioned? Why not arrested and charged?
Surely being caught in the act of trying to burgle someone requires more than just a caution?
  • Really thought I had a bad Credit Score due to a few silly errors over a few years ago.

Just decided to bite the bullet and see what it was and its apparently nice and Stable at the moment, happy days :)

Sorry sloppy reporting by me there. He actually was arrested and given two and a half years.

    Cheers Raith.
  • A number of football fans club together to pay for the funeral of another fan, few of them actually knew, to help out the deceased's daughter. Through nothing more than common decency and a shared affection for their football club.

    Roses are red
    Violets are blue
I'm spending this evening watching the Champions League, listening to the Charlton and placing copious amounts of ill-considered in-play bets
Instead of squandering all my cash on an ungrateful girlfriend who would undoubtedly return home after an evening emptying my wallet and then romantically whisper in my ear that the spare room still needs painting.

Will probably find time to browse a couple of specialist cinemagraphic websites before I fall asleep on the sofa surrounded by takeaway boxes and empty beer cans.
  • My missus has just been told she's working in Croydon tomorrow so has to travel there now to stay overnight. So I've got an evening of FIFA, Call of Duty and football ahead of me, instead of some poncey meal.

Divorce her mate... She could be secretly going to Croydon to meet a Palace fan, that alone is enough to get rid ;)

She hasn't quite grasped the concept of Valentine's Day but my daughter had made me this when I got home from work today.

  • I just did that really BMW thing when you park in space, realise you're taking up two spaces but just leave it there anyway.

    Really, really empowering.

So is going to/taking somebody to Croydon a euphemism for anal?
