Getting up feeling rough with a combination of another bloody cold/cough and drinking a fair bit last night, going downstairs and my wife plonking a mug of tea and poached eggs on toast on the table for me.

Sutton beating Leeds - that will shut those champions of Europe up and take them down a peg or two. They've been getting way above themselves recently. Sit back down you plums

I just bought a temporary fuel filler cap from a Harvest petrol station after driving off with the official one on the roof. Best £4.99 I ever spent.

People who never stopped whinging about the Brexit thread, who, when a new thread starts with the word 'Brexit' in the title can't stop themselves opening it!

What do you mean? I regularly open threads on topics that I hate and then complain that I opened that thread!

    1. I was tagged in it, 2. If the topics in the title, then you don't need to open it to know what it's about and 3. The 'Brexit' anger spreads to other threads that are enjoyable.

    1. Probably because you keep going on about the Brexit threads.

    2. So why do so many people who hate politics threads keep opening and then subsequently whinge about politics threads that are quite clearly politics threads.

    3. Then that's probably more of an issue with the members who do that rather than the thread itself.

It is notable that those guilty of point 3 were almost exclusively from one side of the Leave/Remain divide.

The current political situation is perhaps one of the most exciting times to be discussing politics, what with the combination of a new PM, a Tory-majority, Trump, Brexit, SNP rising, what UKIP does now, and Labour's continuing demise. It is just a shame that every single political thread now is sunk within hours of opening almost entirely thanks to the behaviour of a few individuals who seem to hate politics anyway, or at least those who express a different political opinion to themselves. Quite funny to see that those individuals have more or less entirely stopped posting ever since the Brexit thread was shut, which says a lot really.

There are dozens of people on here whose opinions I am interested in, and most of them have different political views than I do. Which I why I hope in the near future we can return to having politics threads without the aggro.

Just 5 minutes with my JJ in the same room as his head and he would never break into another house and he wouldn't put a tooth near him, I promise you he wouldn't need to bite him.

  • Having a great day so far, found an iPhone 6 whilst dog walking this morning. Despite it being locked, the person who lost it, rang it and he showed up at my house, he was truly thankful for me finding it.

Then driving along the road and a football comes flying over the fence, from a football match going on. I stopped the car and return the ball in a John Smith, Peter Kay style. Have it.
