I said this in the match thread, but worth a repeat - the fact that it was accepted by the regime that Yann was not only dispensable, but one of the weak links of our team, says everything anyone would need to know about the 'quality' of Roland's advisors, and how little CAFC management has a clue about football.
Could've and should'vve been starting every week for Bournemouth this year. He is pure, pure class and letting him go was the worst decision this board have made (and that has some competition)

Loved Kermorgant but looked like he wouldn't score in the prem for them in about 10 years. Right decision by Howe and Kermorgant.

Am glad, in a way, that he did not return to CAFC in recent times - for, if he had done so, and enjoyed success, that success might have been pinned on Roly. That Yann is, so obviously, doing well elsewhere shows up the decision to release him as crass.
So, happy memories ....
... and, should the club find an enlightened new owner, let's dream of the return of The Breton Beast.

Incredible to think that he could have achieved promotion to the Premier League twice since he left us, I bet he hardly thinks of Charlton with how he's doing lately but we still miss him!

Not incredible, many knew he was good enough to play an important part in a team aiming for promotion to the Prem. He also fully deserved a pay rise and new contract in Jan 2014.
One of the most poignant protest moments for me was in that football for a fiver match against Reading. When Yann scored his second against us (didn't celebrate either) and all four sides of the ground stood and applauded him. A few of us even sung 'we still dream of a team of Kermorgants'.
It was an unplanned, impromptu moment that showed the fans unity and was a real fuck you to the regime.
