Chris Powell. Would love to see how he got the best out of Aguero and Neymar.5

Simple as that really.ElfsborgAddick said:
We will need somebody with a Charlton connection to galvanise the fans and the players together.Chizz said:Chris Powell.
Close thread.
Bring Powell back and have Jackson and Dyer making up the three man team.
We have our charlton back3 -
I'd like a manager who can transform the whole squad in the summer. Getting rid of dead wood and the losing mentality and being capable of winning the division with a historic record points tally. A manager who understands the fans and is loved by them. A manager who tries to give fans their Charlton back, fully understanding what this statement really means! I know, probably impossible to find somebody with these credentials isn't it? Especially at our level!1

Mattie Svensson with Pringle for the new forward line.0

I think I would explode with happiness at the sight of Chris Powell walking out of the tunnel.
And I think he's the best man for the job.8 -
Gary Rowett
Ex Charlton too.2 -
Would love that. But this is a man who has been linked with the Leicester job recently. There is only one direction he is going in and that is up. Sadly we are a way below his level.dajavouslagan said:Gary Rowett

Alan Pardew.1

A person who cares deeply for the club and the players and fight needed to get out of league one.
Step up, Sir Karel Fraeye.6 -
But if sir karel is not available, we need some one with deep scouting knowledge and football management pedigree.
Step forward, Paul May.12 -
The man whose previous tenure was cut short by a failed drainage system and a megalomaniac who wanted to play computer games with a real club3

It's got to be Sir Chris Powell.2

Too many of you are living in the past and need to move on.CP was great for us in his time and has my uttermost respect..But it's like when many were calling for Curbs to come back.Time moves on and we need someone new -I would still give KR a chance but except that just won't happen. We are in a dire mess with fans slagging each other off .Its a pretty dismal situation.I Long for the days of Charlton fans being United. It will take some time but the heals can mend if we all want them to.Surely any prospective Buyer would be more be more encouraged if we could all stand together. All this persoanal abuse against our own fans and that includes RM ( who should be a Charlton Legendand Airman B - Who should be a Charlton legend)
I hope and believe that RD will sell - but surely that will be helped if people encourage and not abuse RM to help that process.Too many on here are blinded by there hatred of RD.That will get us nowhere.Get the right people on our side and that must include RM.Airman try and put aside your own agenda and get back to doing what you did Best.COYR

RM has been blocking the sale from the off. He has done his darndest to ensure Varney didn't even get an interview.raytreacy69 said:Too many of you are living in the past and need to move on.CP was great for us in his time and has my uttermost respect..But it's like when many were calling for Curbs to come back.Time moves on and we need someone new -I would still give KR a chance but except that just won't happen.

People such as yourself that continue to give tacit approval to the owner, either are unaware of the facts or choose to ignore the facts.
We may have been sold a long time ago, if Murray hadn't prevented it, for his own selfish egotistical reasons.14 -
So you are fully aware of the Facts -so please explain!0

Varney & Murray fell out years & years ago.raytreacy69 said:So you are fully aware of the Facts -so please explain!
Murray doesn't want Varney involved so told Meire to ignore his "advances".
Murray can then carry on with his usual match day affairs as non executive Chairman.
This has been known on here for longer than I can remember.2 -
For me - CAFC would not be where we are without RM.He was instrumental in the rebuild of the club/stadium.His relationship with Curbs will always be a Major part of of the clubs history. Its unfortunate that RM and PM seemed to have a full out. That aside they should BOTH remembered for a glorious part of a our Clubs history. If only they could put there personal differences aside - there is still a faint chance we could get back some of the 'glory days'.I genuinely feel they both want that and would happily buy them both a pint to get the ball rolling again.COYR

Agreed, but it's about as likely as Oasis reforming.raytreacy69 said:For me - CAFC would not be where we are without RM.He was instrumental in the rebuild of the club/stadium.His relationship with Curbs will always be a Major part of of the clubs history.
