Currently sat in stand at Chelmsford's ground waiting for kick off - not a nice ground - never good having to watch football across an athletics track

    COYD

    Good luck

Chelmsford's vs Darts 0-0 half time - tight game - physical - not pretty - as I expected

Got home from Chelmsford v Dartford as ground is 10 mins up the road. Dreadful game. Dartford probably deserved it overall that Chelmsford finished better of the two.

Going on Sunday to cheer on the clarets but if they play like that then the Darts will have it wrapped up by half time.

Finished 0-0 - Chelmsford are horrible to watch - long ball physical boot boys - their no 5 in particular had only 3 attributes 1) a long throw 2) hoofing the ball up the pitch 3) fouling - think Eric Young a la Wimbledon, but with 1% of Eric's skill - that bad !!!

Chelmsford have financial problems, and I am told they are rather serious - hope they sort them

Darts home advantage Sunday - we are better footballing side - but let's see - football is a funny game Saint

Chelmsford had a buyer fall though who they were banking on. Need to find another sharpish. Probably needed to win tonight, advantage in Dartford's hands now.

Chelmsford ground is an abomination. But at least they have terraces behind both goals you can swap ends at half time. Very exposed though. Seats are quite far away.

At the SCEFL Challenge Cup final today, at Tonbridge Angels. A good way to finish the non league season. Sevenoaks Town 2 Sheppey United 0, which was a fair reflection of the play. Attendance was 722. Sheppey had good support.

The day we lost to Wimbledon at home I was at Sheppey, they had about 350 there. The average Kent League attendance is around 50!

Chelmsford will play Ebbsfleet in the playoff final next week after beating Dartford 2-1 at Princes Park. Chris Dickson had a great assist and scored the winner.

Few Dartford fans ran on to the pitch at the end to have a scrap with Chris Bush. Muppets. Although on the way out they were blaming West Ham fans.

Yeah, looks like it. Not at a neutral ground? Not sure about that tbh.

Think the only time that Ebbsfleet have won a final is away, and lost twice at home, so i dont think its much of an advantage looking at their record...and of course everyone knew at the start of the season of the rules.....

Darts slightly the better side 1st half and came closest hitting the post. Chelmsford got on top second half mainly through long balls and long throws. Deserved to win the second half although Dartford did have 3 or 4 great chances on the break. Attendance 2,677 or thereabouts.

Gutted - Chelmsford's style of play would have Brian Clough turning in his grave

Dickson took his goal well though

    Hey ho - season over
  • Boxing/New Years day fixture sorted for welling.
    Happy days

Gutted too. But Dartford and Chelmsford were neck and neck all season, and home advantage today was never going to be much of a real advantage. Good luck to the Clarets in the final.

They passed me by. Is it simply the case that ebbsfleet finished higher?

Yes. Same for Rymans, Bognor finished above Hamlet so final was played at their place

Over 2,000 at Stonebridge road, deserved win for Ebbsfleet and a wonderful flick from Darren McQueen to beat the goalie and secure the win.

What a lovely flick that was. Can't imagine anything but an ebbsfleet win next week, but you never know
