    just caught up on the last few pages of this thread. It's bloody hilarious.

    After all the talk just before the end of the season by Karl saying we need to overhaul the team and get some players who know what it means to play for the club, we then sign Billy Clarke. who Karl has never even met and has spoken to him briefly whilst at a wedding and that's only because one of the guest asked Karl what he does for a living and he remembered he's Charlton's manager and that we've just brought some player so he better give him a call.

    we then hear from AC Milian that we've made an offer for one of their first team strikers. our interest gets cooled slightly by Milans valuation of the player being over 20 million Euros. the next day we get out bided by Oxford United for some bloke up in Scotland. wtf is going on?!

    assume these are the two Cawley reference earlier this week then. Would be very happy with both of these and keeping Holmes.

    Can play in any of the top 4 and puts in a lot graft (to the point of injury

    The only reason I didn't put Dijksteel alongside him is because I would like us to sign a natural experienced leader, but one who is mid to late 20s.

    Can see Igor being here as well but having a bit of Tex situation, where he only plays if we really need it. A fit Igor with a full pre-season behind him has the ability to be the best striker in the league.

    If we can unload Igor either on a permanent or loan then you won't see his arse for dust.

    Don't think the club wants to have to pay all his wages and I don't think he has any desire to pull on our shirt again.

    If we see him again it will be because there are absolutely no other options.

    Perhaps we have not heard about anything to do with the club is because all the people who should inform us are on holiday, at least we have to think something is happenning

    Very true... Martin | Solly | Pearce | Magennis would be our sole experienced regular starters...

    Need someone to lead the Midfield!!

    Nah we'll wait for Oxford to buy him and THEN put an offer in for him - Its our new tactics, wait for the player to sign for a rival, means the club can easily prove that the player is seen to be good enough for League One Football
