Might be over thinking this but I can imagine its hard moving a Giant corpse from the yard! My guess they would have burnt him and the other Giants in the army as the ones who died in the battle for the wall?0

Don't think bran sees visions of the future (in the show). He seems to see visions of the past, however recent.0
-
Didn't bran see a shadow of a dragon flying over kings landing back in season 4?
Arguably this could be past or future as it could be an old Dragon or it could be the future of a dragon.0 -
First scene was strange, I thought it was Arya's dream!0
-
How did you think it was a dream? was quite obvious as he died previously so i kind of expected it to be Arya in the end but it was still good.Friend Or Defoe said:First scene was strange, I thought it was Arya's dream!

As long as we don't start seeing Bill Nighy or any other actors from the Richard Curtis stable. Jim Broadbent is class, but if I hear Hugh Grant has been casted for the last series of some sort Lannister, I'll be very disappointedDazzler21 said:2 -
Gotta be honest, would love to see hugh grant in a serious/different role from the shite he's usually in. Like Adam sandler, I think he's actually a really talented actor, just never pushes himself.1

One thing I didn't mention, Who's idea was the shitty little Sam cleaning out the bed pans serving gruel/stew bit? That was like a budget Tarantino twist,
I think Jeremy Podeswa can stay away from GOT from now on.0 - Sponsored links:

Thinking about it why do they not use one consistent director?0
-
It's not physically possible in TV. The director of episode 1 won't be finished until they're filming episode 5. There's a lot of prep, rehearsal and post-production to do.Dazzler21 said:Thinking about it why do they not use one consistent director?
Although I've always assumed that scenes from multiple episodes are shot together. For instance, Edd had one scene, but I bet he shot other bits while on location at that time.1 -
Correct. They have to film at certain locations at certain times of the year. Meaning all the Winterfell scenes will be done for the whole season in one go, all the King's Landing scenes etc.JiMMy 85 said:

Makes you wonder which actors have actually ever met whilst on set. I imagine Lena and Emilia have met at various dos but have either been present whilst the other have been on set? Will be interesting if they finally parlay this season considering they are two of the main cast but have never had a scene together.0 -
True, and the wildlings seem to do it as a matter of course, so would seem crazy not to with the most dangerous potential wight.Callumcafc said:It would definitely be a silly mistake on Jon's part not to burn bodies having previously insisted on other bodies being burnt to avoid that same fate earlier in the series.

Didn't he see visions of the tree, the Three-Eyed Raven etc before it happened.kentaddick said:Don't think bran sees visions of the future (in the show). He seems to see visions of the past, however recent.

I thought it was a flashback to just before Arya arrived with the pie, so still threw me!Friend Or Defoe said:First scene was strange, I thought it was Arya's dream!

As far as the show is concerned, there's no stated, steadfast rule about what time period his visions can see. The Hound just looked at a fireplace and saw the future, so I suspect Bran can too. Certainly he will if the plot requires him to!North Lower Neil said:

Also, and I guess this is potentially a spoiler if I'm right.. but is it assumed that Bran is going to undo the magic of the wall now he's been touched on the arm, in the same way he messed up the Raven's little bunker?0
-
What magic does it have? Thought it was "made with magic" but it doesn't actually have any power other than the sheer bloody size of it.JiMMy 85 said:Also, and I guess this is potentially a spoiler if I'm right.. but is it assumed that Bran is going to undo the magic of the wall now he's been touched on the arm, in the same way he messed up the Raven's little bunker?
Wouldn't need the Night's Watch otherwise surely?

Great show though, absolutely pisses all over walking dead now days.5

A book reader can explain better than me, but the wall is packed with magic. I think Benjen delivered a line at the end of last season when Bran suggested they go back together (which made it even more obvious that Bran was going to undermine it).1

Nights Watch are mostly there to stop Wildlings getting through hence why the brothers killed him for letting them through.WSS said:

I expect there was a bit in the books saying that the nights watch fought them before but cant remember! ( I have read them & re-read them and I always see something I missed before! judge my reading if you have to haha)2 -
I've read the books as well but impossible to remember everything. It must be in one of Old Nan's stories when she talks about that Brandon the Builder fella.
Looks like Brandon the Breaker has f*cked it up for the rest of Westeros though.2 -
Benjen says this when he leaves Bran: "The wall’s not just ice and stone, ancient spells were carved into its foundations. Strong magic. To protect men from what lies beyond. While it stands, the dead cannot pass. I cannot pass."
I'm not convinced Benjen is a good guy. Indeed, I think there's a chance he's getting Bran to pass the wall in order that he, or maybe even the Night King, can finally pass back again.2 -
TWIST - Any wight who crosses south of the wall by 200 yards immediately dies - Their threat is therefore written off.0

Bit racist...Dazzler21 said:TWIST - Any wight who crosses south of the wall by 200 yards immediately dies - Their threat is therefore written off.

The tits and dragons score was disappointingly low for this episode. HBO need to pick it up considerably or I'm out.4

Iirc in the books benjen, or "cold hands" as the book calls him (fan theories pre last season thought coldhands might be benjen) is some one who got killed but the children of the forest (those little elf child things) stopped him from being turned into a wight. So he is "good" but so is dead and can't pass the wall.JiMMy 85 said:Benjen says this when he leaves Bran: "The wall’s not just ice and stone, ancient spells were carved into its foundations. Thanks Kent, although I remain unconvinced he's a good guy!0

Messes up everything, does Bran.0 -
Interesting theory - I thought Benjen just didn't know about Bran possibly being 'marked' but you could be right. He said he couldn't pass the wall, but then in Series 1 (I think?) the wight that attacked Jon and Jeor Mormont in Castle Black managed it?JiMMy 85 said:Benjen says this when he leaves Bran: "The wall’s not just ice and stone, ancient spells were carved into its foundations.
