No , that was Hazell whose character was apparently based on the ex Charlton player Tony Hazell .

R.I.P. Good actor.

Not so much now but when I was younger people used to say I was his doppelganger!

Part of the iconic 60s set with Stamp, O'Toole and company.

RIP Shelley.

RIP Hywell

Sad to hear this news,
Was a very fine actor. Sure he appeared in a decent
film with Hayley and John Mills in the late 60's.
Also was a great villian, briefly in Eastenders.
Remember his menacing quote ''Hello Phil''.

Sad news - Endless Night was a favourite film as a kid (as well as Shelly, of course). RIP

Yep you're right . Didn't know it was based on Tony Hazell or is that a Whoooosh moment ?

Sad news RIP Hywel

Was very good as Steven Castle in Sweet Smell of Succession

RIP

He used to live in Deal and drank in the Ship there, always outside smoking. Why is there a photo of Andy Summers showing in the Tweet above?
