  • With that win we move up to second in the table (!), though we are almost 70 points behind Essex.

    And we are now safe.
  • Thanks for the updates Epsom. I've been crazy busy this week but still been checking in.

Clarke's spell in the first innings was the difference between the 2 sides. Apparently Meaker bowled exceptionally today.

Foakes has been impressive in the last 2 months of the season. Surely he must be on the plane to Aus.

I reckon Davies has scored more runs against us in the championship this year than he score for us all last season.

Brilliant to get the win. Come on the rey.

More a season of what could have been. But we can still finish second so I want to finish in a high.

We also scored more than a win in extra batting points than any other county. Weather and some of the Oval pitches stopped us getting more wins.

You play half your games on a road so should get more batting points than other teams over the season
  • Start delayed at Old Trafford for the final game of the season - no toss as yet.
  • We've lost the toss and will bat first.

  • We've declared on 201-8

Eh? Why would we do that??? What's the reasoning there? Stopping them getting the bowling points?

Meaker and Sam can bat. Why didn't we see how many they could get? In the context of getting a win surely some runs woukd have helped.

Unless they think batting will be massively easier tomorrow and wanted a decent bowl tonight.

Thats odd. Its almost as if everyone wants to get the game over in 3 days and get back and go on holiday.
