If we’re doing kids tv theme tunes from yesteryear, Grange Hill has got be up there (as long as Mrs McClusky was headmistress!)

Remember being shocked when Give Us A Clue used the same theme tune.

The Appleyards.....1952-1960.

Surprised no one else has commented on this......there is only one episode still available on YouTube.
Quintessentially English beyond parody.......fantastic to watch it again.
Even the theme tune sends me back all those years to our front lounge and our little 9 inch black and white TV with a metal coat hanger in the airial socket.....it worked better than the real thing!
