    Seven is his best position. But he needs a proper number eight. That's why it's such a shame to see Mooen having to fill the gap created by Stokes' omission.

    In my view, Mooen is a better bat than Woakes, so should bat one higher. I think we would have the world's best 6-9 if we had all of Stokes, Bairstow, Moeen and Woakes fit.

    2.34 am here and I’ve got to get the 6.19am train into London for work . Can’t sleep , thinking about watching more after lunch . Love the Ashes .

    So I was a couple of wickets premature, but I left work at 5:45 and we were 4 down and I tune in now at 8:15 to see Oz batting with the lunch break in there too. I think we can call that an "England Batting Collapse".
