  • Someone so good losing so badly doesn't happen very often. In 1988, Ray Reardon whitewashed Steve Davis when Ray was on his way out at around number 50 and Davies was number 1. Any others spring to mind?
  • Hendry once lost 9-0 to Marcus Campbell.

It hapens more now, more tournaments shorter matches, only last month O'sullivan beat Higgins 6-0
And obviously not a whitewash but Bingtao beat O'Sullivan 6-1 in october
  • with so many shorter matches be interesting to know the player who wins the first frame how many go on to win the match? it just seems that first frame has become much more important.

Amazing how low Robertson is in rankings at moment.

Will be back into top 16 after this event(to late for the masters now)
He dropped because the money he earned for winning the uk championship 2 years ago has now expired and he has been struggling the last 2 years(personal problems have affected his snooker)
  • Scottish Open
    Final
    End of session 1

    Cao Yupeng 5-3 Neil Robertson

Yupeng is 4 frames away from his first ranking title and a place in next years Champion of Champions
  • Cao Yupeng missed 2 easy pinks and has now missed matchball black

Robertson has come from 8-4 down to 8-8

    Final frame decider
  • NEIL ROBERTSON IS SCOTTISH OPEN CHAMPION
  • Scottish Open
    Final
    Neil Robertson 9-8 Cao Yupeng

Yupeng will be devastated after being 8-4 up he had chances to win, but the pressure got to him and he missed a number of easy pots

  • Really enjoyed that tonight, wasn't that I particularly wanted Robertson to win but i was left to have a beer and watch it so glad it went the distance.
  • Felts sorry for Cao, played a blinder and from 8-4 up was had quite a few chances just couldn't over the line. Cracking tourney for him and well done Robbo for getting back in the winners circle.

So no Maguire in Germany at the end of Jan also no Ronnie as he pulled out of qualifing for medical reasons

Disappintment for Bingtao and Akani as well.

Good news for World number 1, had a dissapointing few results recently, not been in a few tournaments and when he has been he underpeformed including struggling in the first round of the uks and leaving after the 2nd round, but a good 5-0 win will hopefully give him so confidence for the Masters.
