'It's Imminent' Cryptic Clues

With the supposedly imminent departure of RD, here are some cryptic clues , all of which are associated with his tenure.
None of them are players or managers.
Say, among other things, can mean an example of.

(i) Experts take exam (8)
(ii) Master goes to bed with head teacher (7)
(iii) Have a whisky, say, before Ascot (5,3,5)
(iv) Beginnings down under; Charlton have asked to extend loans, except Tarique's (10)
(v) God loses direction, but gets the general idea (9)
(vi) Fiat 500 (4)

I've just realised I haven't put the number of letters in the answers. If you're unfamiliar with cryptic crosswords they must seem nonsensical, but hopefully seeing the explanations of the answers might make them a little clearer...0

It is, Thai. I mucked up the number of letters in the clue, I'm afraid...
Black & White is a whisky, Ascot is a type of scarf.1 -
May I add another six clues? Possibly a bit easier, but they always look easy when you set them.
