I love that picture too. I first saw it in the window of a photo art shop in Paris in 2004. It was on a Sunday and the shop was closed, otherwise I would have loved to have bought it, even though it was quite a lot of money. I recognised Sam Bartram immediately and took these couple of pictures (it's right at the bottom of the shop window display). I hadn't seen the picture before and haven't seen it since, until you posted it now.
To me this is an iconic football photograph. I haven't really seen another one like it before. I've always thought it would be great if the club could produce a book full of the best Charlton photos from the 30's - 80's. Unfortunately I don't suppose it would be financially viable.6 -
Eventually we'll get all the photos from Sam's collection up on the website (and there are 1000s) for everyone to see.
So any IT smart, websit content people get in touch.
We have a site so don't need anyone flogging us or designing a new one but if you want to upload content then we're gonna need you.
