Ronnie game looked a cracker, i was out so missed it. Trump afterwards said he felt in control yet lost the match :) Ronnie could overtake Selby soon after World Champs or CO think he is like £170k behind , or maybe when Selbys WC drops off.

PS- Ronnie vs Murphy again in the final?

    Where have you seen that.

Last i saw was before semi final last night and Selby is around 800k above Ronnie.

China open is now 225k for winnet but when Selby won last year it was 85k so he is only defending 85k

Should Ronnie win Players Championship and China Open he will win 125k+225k so 350k

If Selby loses in 1st round of China Open he loses 85k so based on my maths earliest Ronnie can overtake is the crucible

Snooker.org people were saying the other day on there, I think when World Championship comes off. If Ronnie wins £170k roughly more in the CO and WC. On the live comments section might take a while to find now.

If Ronnie wins this tournament and that is a BIG IF (don't count your chickens) then he just needs to score 187,000 more points than Selby in the two remaining tournaments (CO and WC) to be world number 1.

Yeah so once world championship money comes off.

So it cant be until after then.

As it stands selby has 1.4M and ronnie has 800k

Irish isn't he? I have seen him a couple of times.

The way he is playing, Murphy is favourite tomorrow. O'Sullivan isn't on top form but is producing good matchplay snooker. Trump should have beaten him but lacked a bit of nous.

    Yeah he is irish.

Think it will be down to how Murphy is feeling tomorrow, looked abit better today and he was noticably rubbing his neck alot less

  • Watching Ronnie v Murphy.

Ronnie's highest break in this match is something like 85 yet he's 8-4 up with it looking like it'll be 9-4 soon. His safety play has been outstanding and when he gets a chance to clean up he invariably does.

Still, I wouldn't put much money on him for the world title because I doubt his temperament will hold up if he comes under pressure in a long match. Having said that, I hope I get to eat my words.
  • PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP WINNER RONNIE O'SULLIVAN

4 frames Murphy had a lead in missed a ball and Ronnie cleared up and thats what cost him.

The big one was at 3-2 dowm had a good chance for 3-3 half hour latet it was 6-3.

Ronnie has now won his 5th event of the season equalling the record set by Stephen Hendry, Ding Junhui and Mark Selby

    Apology accepted Paulie no problem.

Get om Ronnie, still hoping he can prove you wrong for the Worlds :pensive:

i watched first session as went to play pool, not sure how he was 3-1 up and defo should have been the other way round. Not on top form but still won, thats not a bad trait.

Nearly crucible time, i quite enjoy following the build up and qualifiers.

He earns 35k and has 3 more than Hendry

This after earlier on Selby had made a 141 of 16 reds so had a possible 155

With Maguire losing in the 1st round he can no longer achieve a top 16 ranking and will have to Qualify for the crucible

So lets here his excuse for losing to another Numpty (in all fairness Elliot is a fantastic player and I can assure you will win events in the future, 2 quarters and a Semi this season) but Ronnie said most outside the top 32 are numpties

He is going to lose to anybody on the tour regardless, he doesn't use the term 'derogatory' as people expect just like us calling people dicks its disrespectful but not as bad as people make out. Still not condoning it but i enjoy his arrogance and how he plays on the felt. Just because he uses the term numpty doesn't mean he isn't going to ever lose to anyone outside top 32, like i can lose at pool or snooker to players i consider inferior or casual player. Personally i wont be calling anyone numpties but thats just how he put it

It will be a dull game when he retires, thankfully he is in the form of his life going into the Worlds, so fingers crossed.

    China Open Round 3

    Tom Ford 6-2 Luo Honghao
    Jack Lisowski 6-2 Gary Wilson
    Mark Selby 6-1 Lyu Haotian
    Neil Robertson 6-1 Zhou Yuelong
    Stuart Bingham 6-2 Graeme Dott
    Barry Hawkins 6-5 Cao Yupeng
    Mark Williams 6-5 Mark Allen
    Kyren Wilson 6-5 Ding Junhui

No real shocks today only non odds on to win was Kyren Wilson but that was hard to call anyway.

Mark Allen missed match ball red before Williams cleared up in the decider and could end up outside the top 16 if Ford or Lisowski win the tournement which would mean having to Qualify for the crucible.

Mark Selby picking up some decent wins and great performances, win this tournement and IMO he is back in with a chance in Sheffield
