What, High Chapparal?, been there years, its upstairs in the parade of shops opposite the Spanish Galleon

    TEXMEX

Doesnt get great reviews on that page but, to be fair, one of the reviewers is moaning about paying £3 for a pint of lager!

Had a fantastic meal at the Trafalgar Tavern a few weeks back. They do traditional English food and if you book a table for around 6.30-7.00 and you should get a table with a river view.

  • If you're struggling to get into the 'usual suspects' of Inside, Locale, Chapters etc, I like The Guildford (http://www.leguildford.co.uk/) down in the Ashburnam triangle and - much as I hate to say it - The Spread Eagle is actually quite good...

No, have a drink in the Guildford - it's a good bar as well as a great eaterie.

Make room for dessert - the chef there is brilliant.
