Amos: 7 Not a great deal to do but dealt with the it comfortably
Dijksteel: 6.5 Got done a few times 1st half but stuck to the task
Bauer: 7.5 More like the old BFG we've depended on
Pearce: 8 Usual got stuck in, more comfortable hoofing it blood&guts for his goal
Page: 7 Good performance never thought he would but is growing on me
Marshall: 6.5 Works hard defensively got a few crosses in 2nd half
Konsa: 7 More up for it, looks casual at times but did his bit for the cause
Forster-Caskey: 7 Must be knackered from all the dead ball kicks assist for goal
Fosu-Henry: 7 Got chopped a few times still some lovely teckers though
Mavididi: 6.5 Came more into it 2nd half and gave them problems
Magennis: 7 Grafted extra point for his goal

Bowyer. & JJ: 9 Big team shake up with 6 changes producing a solid away performance. They competed for every ball and played more direct football which wasn't pretty at times but the end result justified the means. More of the same at Pompey please COYRs.

Amos: 6 - Didnt have anything to do
Dijksteel: 6 - Uses his pace to get him out of trouble a bit too much
Bauer: 7 - Thats the partnership with Pearce we like to see, worry we could lose him in the Summer
Pearce: 7.5 (MOTM) - Could have had a few goals this evening
Page: 6 - He's doing well, is becoming a favourite of mine
Marshall: 5 - Not the player I'd hoped we'd signed... Wouldnt be bothered if he was to leave in the Summer
Konsa: 7 - Good performance in Midfield against good opposition
Forster-Caskey: 6 - His set pieces were either awful or caused huge problems
Fosu: 6.5 - Still needs to pass more, still a nuisance though
Mavididi: 6 - Extra point for almost scoring
Magennis: 7 - No service all game, kept plugging away and then got his reward at the end

We win 2-0 at the team who've been ripping up the division and these are the marks? Christ

I only managed to see about 60% of the game due to various technical hitches but I'd expect 7.5 minimum for pretty much every player
Drop me a PM then with the marks I should be posting then please, I'll gladly edit my post with your wise words of wisdom
Don't bite, if you have only seen 60% of the game I would better surely to have kept schtum

    Amos: 7 solid
Dijksteel: 5 gets targeted repeatedly, is our weak link when he plays. Not his fault and clearly one for the future.
    Bauer: 6.5 solid
Pearce: 8 led the line and gets a point for the goal
    Page: 7 solid
Marshall: 7.5 major part of the reason we weren't as shaky down our right hand side as in previous games, great tracking back
Konsa: 6.5 sloppy on a couple of occasions but adapted to midfield well
Forster-Caskey: 6.5 kept us ticking over with decent set piece delivery
Fosu-Henry: 7 tricky skill but was brushed aside often
Mavididi: 7.5 made some nifty runs
Magennis: 8 tireless and gets a point for the goal

Amos 8 some great first half saves and some great second half saves.

Dijksteel 7 Solid enough, needs to take a step off his man rather than trying to be his shadow.

Bauer 8 Clean sheet, bit of a 50p head tonight.

    Pearce 8 see Bauer

Page 8 Solid at getting forward and recovering to get back to defend.

Marshall 6 not good enough going forwards, however does cover defence well. Confidence thing maybe?

Konsa 7 First half I was concerned. Second half he was a perfect holding midfielder.

JFC 8.5 fantastic tonight. I often criticise him, but tonight he was spot on.

Fosu 7.5 worked hard took a few meaty tackles and always looks for the positive option.

Mavididi 7 Better. Much better. Gave Magennis the pacey stockier player to work with.

Magennis 7 Better had a physical strike partner that also had pace. Good finish.

    Amos: 7 solid game
    Dijksteel: 6.5 Ok
    Bauer: 7 solid
Pearce: 7.5 solid and a goal
    Page: 7.5 good game
Marshall: 7 ONe of his better games
Konsa: 7 Gave the midfield a bit of bite
    Forster-Caskey: 7 involved
Fosu-Henry: 8 Not everything came off but they had to foul him - ref was poor and let them but some he couldn't ignore and one of those free kicks led to first goal.
Mavididi: 8 Unlucky not to score - Him and Fosu together give defences something to think about. I wish refs could protect both of them a bit more at this level.
Magennis: 8 MOTM Worked his socks off and deserved his goal.

  • Is there a rule as to how much of the game you need to have seen to provide marks? Needs to be the whole thing surely?

Agree. What happens if you miss the last 5 minutes, and the keeper pulls off 2 penalty saves? Would you still give him "4 - shit distribution"?
