    Wow just had a look at the result, he was 8-5 down, also up against it. Sounds like Day threw it away a bit but fairplay to him.

    @Sir_Clive you stated Day, obviously he lost so default would be Mcgill unless you state otherwise prior to the match starting.

    @stackitsteve you have said Ding to lose regardless so you have Mcgill to win.

    at 3-3 , wouldn't matter too much even IF he lost last 2 frames of the session imo , this early session is more important for Ali to keep with ROS. Tonights will be the one which will be key and i imagine Ronnie will go into it knowing this and win the majority of the frames, if playing 8 can see him winning 6.

    On a side note, i have been looking at snooker.org for live updates/scores. I normally do but some of the people on there today proper insulting Carter constantly because obviously Ronnie isn't smashing him, disgusting behaviour especially considering what Ali has gone through.

    Weird scenes in Sheffield Carter and O'Sullivan bumped into each other and it turned into a bit of an arguement and the ref had to get involved.

    I know I am biased but it seemed like Ronnie stuck his Elbow out as Carter walked past.

    Edit: Looking on twitter most agree it was Ronnie who stuck his elbow out

    Just seen the incident. O'sullivan clearly throws his shoulder into Carter. What a tit!

    I agree with Paulie. I don't think O'sullivan will win another world title. He's still currently the best player in the world in my opinion, but I just don't think he has the desire to battle it out for 17 days at the Crucible any more

    Gutted Ronnie is out :( agree he probably wont have a better chance to win it again now, you never know but its looking unlikely.

    I was in a pub so didnt hear what was happening as no volume, but was watching it, did look like a bit of a clash.

    still GOAT regardless, This Worlds is wide open. Ding could be good value...

    Higgins hits 146 after snookering Lisowski tight behind the yellow from the break. I've always wondered why more players don't play that breakoff, it leaves your opponent in immediate trouble

    It's very difficult to be that precise and if you get the line wrong you are likely to leave a long red. It is easier to try to get the white tight on the bottom cushion and leaves more margin for error.
