We're still a joke shop, can't blame him.2

Pray the mob get this transfer money, reinvest half of it will be a great start1

A good player but nothing special in my opinion. Far to negative for my liking but Brentford !! A much smaller club than Charlton. Not massively disappointed.0

okay player - never really got the hype myself. at least no disrupted games next season for international duty?5

A lot of ignorance here towards what Brentford have become. They're the textbook model for any typical L1 club who want to break bigger16

If Magennis is off too then definitely wont be any International cancellationspalarsehater said:okay player - never really got the hype myself. at least no disrupted games next season for international duty?

They got about £15m when they sold Kodjia to Aston Villa...HandG said:I may have missed something but where would Brentford get £4m from?
Only spent about £7m of that last season2 -
Genuinely very shocked at this one... wow.
In a way, good for him as he has seen it as his next step up in regards to the footballing pyramid. Instead of signing for Premier League team and going on loan, he can make a permanent go at playing in the Championship before possibly proving he’s good enough to get that move to play for a Premier League team.
They must have paid what we were after and what the Aussie’s were happy with too. With this going through, the takeover must be close now.
I don’t think Konsa is good enough yet for the Premier League, but he has made the next step up. Hopefully we can use this money to help us build.
Good luck for the future Ezri.12 -

Don’t really get the ‘BRENTFORD?!’ Uproar, if they pay the asking price then that’s all that matters. Welling could have stumped up £3.5m (?) and we’d have sold him to them.3

Fair point - but they've found a method that works for them, and it's gotten them places.Scoham said:
Although I don't see many of our fans agreeing with their choice to get rid of their academy.Leuth said:A lot of ignorance here towards what Brentford have become. They're the textbook model for any typical L1 club who want to break bigger
I'm not saying we should follow their model - we have the fanbase, catchment area and spirit that means an academy model is still preferable. But they've worked wonders for a club of their size3 -
Don’t thank him - he gave you false information. It was Hogan rather than KodjiaHandG said:

Sorry to see another one of our youngsters go. Good luck to him. Will not have to move homes I assume and playing at a better level. Probably will not be a bench warmer like some that have gone.0

its a sign of how far we've fallen, and how much progress they've made, that you get this reaction7

Who?0

Not sure he had what it took to play at the highest level. But versatile and decent - who gets the money? That is what I am more interested in! The figures quoted could quite easily fund a realistic push for promotion next season!0

Probably because he's guaranteed to be playing and therefore possibly a sensible move.killerandflash said:Staggered. Apart from anything else, why would Ezri choose Brentford of all clubs?
