Only the second Taylor ever to play for Charlton after Matt I think I’m right in saying .0
-
No headed goals there. Good signing though.0

12th top scorer in L1 last season and half of them above him are not in L1 this season.

Thought he was average at The Valley but he took his goal well against us after the Bauer error away.1

Happy with this, hope he does well. Now for the other 3 signings we're supposed to be after.0

Well given that Josh only appears to score headed goals...they make a good combination!bolloxbolder said:No headed goals there. Good signing though.

He gave us a very hard time at their place last season.0

I'd assume (perhaps incorrectly) that RD is signing off on all decisions until a deal is done.cabbles said:Pleased with this but be intrigued to know how something like this gets done given the situation re: the takeover
I can’t quite work out how the club is actually being ran
We've saved a fortune with all the loan players going back plus Konsa and Lennon leaving, so i'm sure Bowyer has been given a budget to work with.3 -
He certainly could play alongside Josh (or another target man) seeing that none of his goals were headers, he looks like the type of striker who is effective on the shoulders of the last defenders.ross1 said:2 -

He's a big lad who can also play a bit, hopefully we won't resort to kicking the ball at his head and hoping it works as has been the case too often before. If Clarke is fit and firing again I think they could work well, with Magennis (if he stays) as the plan B if we need muscle instead of finesse up front.0

Go Lyle!0

Play 4-4-2 and get in George Tate0

According to LB they have been after him for a while and he was the primary target. Promising, makes a change from all the doom and gloom on the takeover thread.6

Sunderland make “better offer” for striker but opts for Charlton switch for “football reasons”

Him and Vetokele up top. Clarke in behind them. Fosu on the left/right. Magennis, Ajose, Marshall and Reeves as cover if any of them get injured. Definitely top 2 standard if we can sort out our defence and the goalkeeper issue2

Mendez asked what he was like. By the sound of things he's definitely NOT a target man

He doesn't appear to have loads of crap tattoos so cannot expect to be taken seriously as a footballer.
Unimpressed!5 -
Welcome Lyle. I wish you well ...1

Perhaps Mag on the wing in his NI role. Decent crosser and height at set pieces.0

Good signing. Never thought we'd get this over the line!0
