The game will take place at Rangers' Harlington training ground, but will not be open for supporters to attend. The club will, however, be providing coverage of the pre-season clash on its official channels.

The match will be Lee Bowyer's men's first of the summer after embarking on a five-day training camp in Portugal between July 1st and 6th, while supporters will be able to get their first glimpse of the Addicks in action at the traditional pre-season curtain-raiser at Welling United on Saturday, July 14th (12.30pm).

Charlton’s 2018/19 pre-season schedule:

Saturday, July 7th: Queens Park Rangers v Charlton - Harlington Training Ground (Behind closed doors)

Saturday, July 14th: Welling United v Charlton – Park View Road (12.30pm)

Wednesday, July 18th: Dulwich Hamlet v Charlton – Imperial Fields (7.45pm)

Saturday, July 21st: Crawley Town v Charlton – East Court Stadium (3pm)

When does the Pre Season Tour start? :)

Sunday 1st July to Friday 6th July inclusive.

  • Does anyone know which, if any, of the U21s have been integrated into Bow, squad? I'd guess Blumberg, the keeper, Maloney, Lapslie, Umerah and Mascoll at least.

We are certainly doing things different this year. The first friendly open to fans is Welling. Karl is doing his intense pre-season again at Oxford again this year. Three games in successive days over in Ireland. And again east west east.

Even if Charlton fans had been able to watch the QPR game, with England playing the place would have been deserted! Bet the players are gutted as well!

Game is at 11, England starts at 3, players will have enough time to play, have a shower get changed and watch it.

Oh well that's OK then, at least they will be able to watch the game.
  • Can someone confirm 10.30? May be behind closed doors but only a chain link fence right by the pitch.

You'd have to be incredibly keen/desperate to trek all the way out to near Heathrow to watch an early summer pre season game through the fence though!

I like LB's tactics already....... Have a silly early kick off time so the opposition are half awake or slept in & missed the team bus. Brilliant.

Remember the group you're referring to here....

0230 kick off time here. Not sure I'll be able to sleep much before the England game so perhaps it will serve as a good warm up.

A part of me is really hoping that Igor scores tomorrow and does well, it might not count for much in future as he may be off either way, but there could be a small chance he stays and we could have a front two of Taylor and Igor.

Team is about the strongest 11 we have (apart from Aribo for Dawkins) & unless any of them leave I expect this 11 to start v Sunderland.
