Maybe the two go together. By re-organising the consortium they can then meet the requirements of fit and proper and yet keep the consortium together.

He just said 'there may be a couple of difficult weeks ahead'. Nothing about loans or Roland. It could be either or neither I guess.

Each morning I click onto a random historic thread page and for that day I'll get through a few consecutive pages pretending that it's in real time.

Yesterday was shite as page 426-429 and the takeover was firmly off so was in a poxy mood.

Today was epic though as it was page 232 whereby something is definitely happening this week and I'm racing through posts positive it will have happened by the time I get to page 239 and turn in for the night so I am currently absolutely buzzing with excitement.

Just seen an "it's happening gif" so am beside myself.

Yes, but that is irrelevant as in 2 weeks, when the transfer window closes, Roland has to fund the monthly loses while the Aussies can sit back and watch the money drain out of Staprix. They are in control now.

But the longer the takeover is delayed, the worse state the club will be in. There's a massive difference between buying a club in June, and planning for promotion and buying one in September with a season of struggle ahead, especially if they have a 5 year plan. If the 5 year plan turns into a 6 year plan as a result, how does that benefit the Aussies financially?

Then mid table league 1 is the best we can hope for. No strength in depth,injured players already. Its so frustrating, this club has so much potential and for one reason or another,every season is the same. Christ knows what we've done as fans of Charlton to warrant such shit times but im just sick of it. Sad.

What If the takeover does finally happen? Say end of August. I’m sure it will create a good buzz around the place. We still have the January window to make a big push for promotion. I also believe we have a much better manager this season who can get the best out of our players.

If it happens the wait will have killed of some of the excitement. Due to the time it's taken there will be a lot more fans having doubts about the Aussies, whether that's fair or not. Looking across social media over the last few weeks I've seen more comments blaming them for the delay or doubting they'll be good for the club.

Well from what James has said they have a five year plan to get us to the premier league. Think we have to hold onto the hope that it will happen.

It's not like they're going to tell the world they don't have a clue what they're doing, is it!

More chance of my mum winning the lottery than us being in The Prem in 5 years.

Of course you can argue that the chances are we won't get to the Prem in 5 years. But at least they're showing the ambition that the club has lacked for years.

With due respect I don't think the Aussies have shown us anything yet until its happens this 'ambition' is all talk! Not show!
