If you have supported Charlton for 59 years you have spent about 45 of those years supporting a team with no ambition and selling players as soon as a decent offer came in, Or in Paul Walsh and Paul Elliott's case, modest offers.
Don't blame you for walking away but don't delude yourself that this current impasse is unique in Cafc history because so many dodgy moments have happened, this was fairly predicable from Duchatelet's first week in charge.

The way that the comment has been phrased to James suggests to me it is they the Australians that have the difficulties, not Roland. Not the ex directors. Not loans.
So what is it that the Australians will find difficult to do in two weeks?
We have been told that the consortium needs to be less complicated. Who decided this and why?
There also seems to be the suggestion that two of the consortium did not pass fit and proper. Is this what will mean a difficult two weeks to resolve?
Maybe the two go together. By re-organising the consortium they can then meet the requirements of fit and proper and yet keep the consortium together.

Yes, but that is irrelevant as in 2 weeks, when the transfer window closes, Roland has to fund the monthly loses while the Aussies can sit back and watch the money drain out of Staprix. They are in control now.
But the longer the takeover is delayed, the worse state the club will be in. There's a massive difference between buying a club in June, and planning for promotion and buying one in September with a season of struggle ahead, especially if they have a 5 year plan. If the 5 year plan turns into a 6 year plan as a result, how does that benefit the Aussies financially?

Then mid table league 1 is the best we can hope for. No strength in depth,injured players already. Its so frustrating, this club has so much potential and for one reason or another,every season is the same. Christ knows what we've done as fans of Charlton to warrant such shit times but im just sick of it. Sad.
What If the takeover does finally happen? Say end of August. I’m sure it will create a good buzz around the place. We still have the January window to make a big push for promotion. I also believe we have a much better manager this season who can get the best out of our players.
If it happens the wait will have killed of some of the excitement. Due to the time it's taken there will be a lot more fans having doubts about the Aussies, whether that's fair or not. Looking across social media over the last few weeks I've seen more comments blaming them for the delay or doubting they'll be good for the club.
Well from what James has said they have a five year plan to get us to the premier league. Think we have to hold onto the hope that it will happen.

I can't blame any of you for feeling like this. You have no evidence that the Aussies will be great owners, and yes it's taken an age to get any deal done.
If they buy the club you can judge them by their actions on and after that time. I'd guess that there'll be extra funds for players, but even so, that won't guarantee success.
