I remember where I was when I heard that the zabeel (spelling?) takeover fell through. I wonder where I’ll be when I hear that we are stuck with Roland forever

    It won't be forever.

The sun will expand and swallow the earth in about 7.5 Billion years.

There's also lots of other things that could end Roland's reign. Deadly volcanoes, earth's core freezing, an asteroid killing off all life on earth.

Here's some more ways Roland would stop owning the club:

Are the roles being advertised as 1 month rolling contracts?

Well, precisely. How many people would be prepared to (i) work for Duchatelet (ii) work for rubbish money and (iii) commit themselves to a job that's more than likely going to be short-term? And how many of them are likely to be at all competent?
Someone who already has experience and seems to be messing up at Sheff Weds.

Well, precisely. How many people would be prepared to (i) work for Duchatelet - someone out of work (ii) work for rubbish money - someone out of work and (iii) commit themselves to a job that's more than likely going to be short-term? - someone out of work. And how many of them are likely to be at all competent? Competency not a requirement.
Or someone missing docklands who's way out of her depth up north?
TBF she was way out of her depth down south

who the hell is angeldust, has he got things right before?

Seems to run a site about going into the valley and is it’s major mouthpiece. Seems to have links into the club but not always right...
    Wrong on both counts

Posts elsewhere but it's nothing to do with him.
Usually gets things right - seems more ITK than pretty much anyone
Sorry. You are right - was confusing angeldust (who does post on there) with Reams...

Not this time. GM seeing family in Oz. He’s not seen much of them in the last twelve months.
PS This isn’t what’s holding things up.

Just seen this in the resort, it’s a sign I tell thee...image
  • Word on the street is that Roly or more likely one of his minions, is now looking to appoint staff to run the club.

I’d say that the Aussie’s are out of the equation.

Honestly believe we will see at least Aribo go tomorrow, probably Bauer as well. No one will come in and Bowyer will walk.

    Utter mess.

    What's the bad news

The only hope I am clinging to is that there will surely be an official announcement if the deal is completely dead. Probably wishful thinking but there could be rumours being put out by either side to try and get a deal struck. At this late stage in can be in neither parties interest for it to collapse.

He has a family wedding coming up so I'd guess all the recruitment will be done there.

Well I’m hearing nothing from Oz, and that could be because there’s no good news to share. Delays over the directors loans we all hear are still not settled by RD, who is possibly bonkers.
Perhaps the Boomerangers are still short of an investor, as NLA and others say. I can’t contradict that, without info from the Aussies.
So my praying that something might happen this week doesn’t seem to have worked, as far as I can see.
The one thing we can all agree on is that Roland is the most unpredictable of people. Who knows what he’s thinking, who knows what he’ll do next.
It’s time the club released an update isn’t it?
