Can we just park this thread, and come back to it in a few weeks.

Is that what you are being told?

It’s time the club released an update isn’t it?
Step forward Richard Murray. (Actually on second thoughts don't bother)
    Can I just say
  • The cheque's in the post.

If the club was planning a statement the sensible thing from their perspective would be to roll it up with transfer stuff and Bowyer’s appointment, which might require waiting to see what actually happens on deadline day. Then again we might get a Roland statement attacking “some investors who did not come to support the team” - must be overdue.
  • {.....}
  • This all has an air of predictability about it.

    He won't be around.
But it is imperative that we dish out the abuse to his representatives. Be it Murray, Rubashow, burger boy whoever is sitting in the box.Has to be loud and in their faces. The message has to get back loud and clear.
I'm not having it that they are nothing to do with it. They continue to stand by a man that is systematically destroying this football club. They should be held with the same contempt.

    Absolutely this.
  • I don't think we'll ever understand Roland. I firmly think he's valuing us too high, so instead of cutting the price he carries on. Another season will cost him I'm guessing another £12m, it's just bad business for everyone

are you hearing it’s over and the Aussies are out?

I remember where I was when I heard that the zabeel (spelling?) takeover fell through. I wonder where I’ll be when I hear that we are stuck with Roland forever

    It won't be forever.

The sun will expand and swallow the earth in about 7.5 Billion years.

There's also lots of other things that could end Roland's reign. Deadly volcanoes, earth's core freezing, an asteroid killing off all life on earth.

Here's some more ways Roland would stop owning the club:

Are the roles being advertised as 1 month rolling contracts?

No vacancies on the OS at the moment...

He'll likely recruit via Gumtree and postcards in newsagents' windows for our executive
He has a family wedding coming up so I'd guess all the recruitment will be done there.
Game of Thrones anyone ? Red Wedding ?

  • Get the feeling it could be an internal appointment.

A loyal senior manager who knows how to kowtow to the owner.

  • Clue in my name as to where I now live. Admit to posting mainly when had a sherbut. But have been a season ticket holder many times in the past. Now been up here for 25 years, I feel very deep down as Charlton as I ever have done, though struggling to get into this season tbh. I follow this thread with all the emotions of a right side covered end rollercoaster game. But my feelings are overshadowed by what feels more like a less intense but still similar feeling of if a member of the family is fighting for their lives, for those of you who have been through this, it tends to be a rollercoaster of emotions and constantly changing conditions / situations and emotions. In my life it has sometimes turned out good and sometimes not.
I need to pull away from that thought but feel how the shit this one will turnout like fuk nose.

Fuck off Roland. Give me my club back..I still support the team jj and lb. Lets try and find a way of expressing that and our hatred of RD and getting rid of the duck tape out of OUR club
    Charlton till I die.

You must be a glutton for punishment.

Supporting Charlton and living in Blackburn.

Haven’t heard anythIng new on the Aussies. Longer it goes on the less likely it is to happen, you’d think.

Anyone who takes such a job should expect a rough ride, I should think.
