Not quite: a draw is worth 5 points, a tie is worth 8 points.killerandflash said:
Win 16ken_shabby said:How many games left? We get points for a draw don't we? (I'm living abroad so not up to date with rule changes): The draw would narrow the gap (a bit) as Sussex have lost, so not a bad week without being a very good one. Maybe if Warwickshire beat Sussex and we pick up a win we can claw our way into 2nd place.
Draw 8
Still 4 games left, so a lot of points to play for

Sorry for that Red Herring above!
I got the info from ESPN cricinfo.

yet ESPNcricinfo also publish the info linked below, but not as prominently as the info above, which appears to be still the system and indeed is what I thought it was myself until the above popped up at the top of google!

We need to separate these two.
Usual Kent difficulty bowling out the tail.0 -
Got the new ball now0
-
There's a minimum of 44 overs left in the match (although two will be lost for the change in innings) and Derby's lead is currently 81.
Ideally we need to get these last three wickets in the next 15 overs to leave us a run-chase in the order of 120 off 30 overs.
In T20/One-Day cricket terms that's nothing but there won't be any fielding restrictions (other than no more than two fielders behind square on the leg side!) which will make it a bit more difficult.
Please don't let this be Gloucester all over again ...0 -
254-7. Derbyshire lead Kent by 93 runs with 3 wickets remaining0

This game is getting away from us.
Why oh why do we find it so hard to remove the tail?
It's a perennial Kent problem.0 -
100 run lead, min 37 (35) overs remaining ...0
