    38 for 1, Dickson out for 3, but the Bromley born 20 year old Zak Crawley hit the ground running with 34 not out.

    Can you clarify for me please @Addick Addict the situation regarding promotion as in what needs to happen in this round for us not to worry about playing Warwickshire.

    Simplistically, we need a better result than Sussex
    If we score 400 runs inside 110 overs and win the game we will be 45 points clear of Sussex meaning that Sussex would have to win both their matches and pick up virtually every bonus point remaining from this and their final game to overhaul us. And Sussex don't look like beating Warwickshire anyway.

    I think that's right!

    Therefore it isn't over until it's over and Kent have been known to bottle the big occasion historically just like Charlton.

    In an ideal world once this round of matches is over we will be more than 24 points clear of Sussex.

    But this is Kent so no guarantees yet.
