    21 Steer - 6.5 little to do.
20 Solly - 7 good defensively and going forward. Won us the penalty.
6 Pearce - 7 solid enough, can see he’s playing with a slight injury.
23 Sarr - 7 solid enough again, if he has a tad more composure, he will become very, very good.
3 Page - 7 not his best game but an outlet on the left and done well still.
24 Cullen - 7 kept things ticking and moving along very well at the base.
17 Aribo - 7.5 fantastic first half, tired in the second.
16 Ward - 7 tired after around 60 mins, but was very good at finding himself in plenty of space.
12 Reeves - 8 brilliant game, was everywhere in my opinion, tired but I am glad he wasn’t taken off.
    18 Ahearne-Grant - 8 scored the goals, could’ve scored more, but 5 in 9 is very good.
9 Taylor - 7.5 missed the penalty okay, but he was working so hard, so important to us.

Ref: D Whitestone - overall a good game, surprised he didn’t book the keeper for time wasting but other than that, he was one of the better ones we have had this season.

Vetokele (at 81 minutes) - maybe could’ve came on sooner, but bringing him on put them even further on the back foot. Can’t wait until he gets his chance, but that may be a little while yet with how Grant and Taylor are playing.

  • 21 Steer 6.5
    20 Solly 6.5
    6 Pearce 7.5 proper leader
23 Sarr 7.5 some mistakes but got stuck in and played some beautiful long passes
    3 Page 7
24 Cullen 8 I thought he was the best player on the pitch, always involved and must have been a right pain to play against
17 Aribo 7.5 a right pain to play against as well, Bow & JJ doing something right with Joe.
    16 Ward 6 bit anonymous
12 Reeves 7.5 very creative today keeo it up
18 Ahearne-Grant 8 two goals, constantly kept going
9 Taylor 8 no goals, constantly kept going. GLad we've got him. Pen could have been better placed given their keeper was as tall as the goal.
Red: D Whitestone 7 inconsistent, but nothing major wrong. Kept play flowing most of the time and wasn't card happy, which kept the game flowing

  • 21 Steer - 6 a couple of saves. distribution was good.
    20 Solly - 7
6 Pearce - 7.5 looked in total control at the back
23 Sarr - 6 drove forward but gave the ball away a few times which lead to chances for them.
3 Page - 6 at fault for goal but other than that he played well.
24 Cullen - 7 - first half a little bit overwhelmed with their midfield. aribo covered him. second half he covered aribo.
    17 Aribo - 7 great first half.
16 Ward - 5.5 he got better as the game went on. he did the unforgivable a couple of times; when tackled he stood up and let the player just saunter past him.
12 Reeves - 7.5 good game for him. some tackles and great passing. got ward more involved.
18 Ahearne-Grant - 7.5 good finish for the second. he's a hell of a lot better than he was a season ago. having tayler there helps.
9 Taylor - 8 very smart player. enjoyed watching him today. caused so many problems for their defence. shame his penalty was saved.

6 Pearce 6 I think having Sarr alongside put Pearce off his game big time.
23 Sarr 5 He's still a disaster waiting to happen. Great at long passes, but we need a solid CH.

12 Reeves 5 (only comment I'm making today - this is a tough one, his passing was class, he beat his man well and made some great dribbles. But then 9 times out of 10 when he gets the ball he slows the play down to a near standstill, even when on the counter attack... why? - despite playing very well technically he just appears to be on a completely different wavelength to the rest of the team)
    18 Ahearne-Grant 6.5
    9 Taylor 8
    Red: D Whitestone 5.5

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and that is absolutely fine, I respect yours.

However, I wholeheartedly disagree. Yes he takes more touches than needed sometimes, but yesterday he was given the license to and he created chance after chance for us, supported Solly well and put in the cross for our winner. I am just surprised of such a low mark.

Quite. I've never seen Viewfinder award such high marks.

  • 21 Steer 6 solid
    20 Solly 6 solid
6 Pearce 7.5 very solid, very committed and a bit frightening
23 Sarr 7.0 world class or is he?
3 Page 6 Not bad at all
    24 Cullen 6.5 Looks classy
17 Aribo 7.5 Amazing player..like Cousins on speed
16 Ward 5.5 Looks classy but didn't do enough for me.
    12 Reeves 7.5 Can't fault that performance.
18 Ahearne-Grant 7 Pretty poor overall but scored twice and that's his job.
9 Taylor 7 Very good overall but didn't score and missed a pen and that's his job too.
Red: D Whitestone 7 Not bad and a huge improvement on the normal dross at this level.

Vetokele (at 81 minutes) Still looks very rusty to me.

Imagine what could have been done if he had taken fewer touches . He’s really rusty but he needs to release it quicker; I hope we can finally see the real Reeves soon.

Also- everyone seems happy to neglect the shortcomings of Sarr. The misplaced passes, the ambling back from corners, the poor positional sense, the weird first touch. The guy is , i’m sure, lovely. I’m also sure he’s with us because he is our second highest paid player and nobody else wants him: A colt figure, but also dreadful. I always cheer him on at the valley, and come on here and criticise him because he is so bad.

If he plays well next week, all well and good .

    Sorry , LL!

One or two behind beer goggles
  • 21 Steer - 6: very little to do and had no chance with the goal
20 Solly - 6.5: solid, although I thought he failed to put enough pressure on their winger when he crossed for the goal
    6 Pearce - 7: commanding and untroubled
23 Sarr - 6.5: a few nervous moments, although he did pretty well overall. Some good passing out from the back. Will be interesting to see if the right footed Krystian Bielik replaces Naby at Luton (assuming he's fit)
3 Page - 7: his speed gives us some good attacking options down the left
24 Cullen - 6.5: a neat and tidy player with a good engine
17 Aribo - 7.5: a great first half, with one stupendous run from the edge of his own area. His level dipped in the second half but others stepped up to the plate
16 Ward - 7: looks a clever player and linked the play up well
12 Reeves - 8: MoM - absolutely dominated the latter stages of the game, as Plymouth tired and backed off
18 Ahearne-Grant - 6.5: not his best game by any means but his searing pace is a menace at this level. Missed a good chance in the second half but was in the right place twice when it mattered
9 Taylor - 7.5: a real handful for their defence, especially in the second half when we were able to get the ball into his feet in advanced positions
Red: D Whitestone - 7: did ok. The fact that he only added 3 minutes at the end ensured that their goalie's second half time wasting backfired on them
