For me it was despite going 1 - 0 down early on the crowd tried to back the team. I was proud of the effort we made.

The team didn't respond and neither did the manager.

NOTW yesterday, for me it has to be the worst comment he has come out with, so is he saying for the whole of the season so far, he has been deliberatley playing an under strength trial side?

  • I always bet on 3-1 either way.

We have finally Hit rock bottom which a club has to do before they oust the man in charge, Saturday was definately the 'Deal Breaker' as far as Pards Contract at club is concerned. Onwards & Upwards.

    Good point from Sat?

Seeing a manager and squad at the bottom of the table putting in a fighting display with REAL belief to make their fans proud of them...

And then there was Charlton's display...
  • The good point for me was once the ridiculous first goal was given away I accepted what was going to unfold for the rest of the game straight away, saving me from putting the usual stress on my ticker.

Normally I would have a moan about how that should have been avoided and then encouraged in blind faith and finally sworn at the pr**s in the red shirts showing no fight or passion and gone home wound up and stressed out probably knocking another year off my life expectancy.

This time humour took over as resignation that this has been brewing for some weeks, total capitulation within the first 20 mins. Admiring the way Ambrose took the ball down so cleanly in our box and weighted the pass for the second with such finesse.

Not sure what you mean West Side, cannot see Pardew seeing out the week, gotta be the easiest decision in football at the moment. If they don't sack him then I'll start questioning the Board who are normally beyond reproach in my book.

We won the second half 1-0.....so you could say that if it weren't for Barnsley scoring 3 goals we would have won the match 1-0.....But then that would sound rather stupid! ;o)

    Moo2 had a good game!
  • I just cannot believe the quote about picking the best team from now on... how absurd on so many levels

Nearly two years and he has no sodding clue what his best team is... how on earth can he say that quote?! Moron

"It was definately the three goals that Barnsley scored that caused us a problem"

see, i can do this job !
  • Solidgone

that is what i said to my boy on the way home to try to cheer him up, But i also told him later that you can bet Pardew says that to his players at some stage in the next week.

as for quotes on how to do Pards job

" It was the fact that the opposition had so much time on the ball to shoot that caused us problems"

" It was the fact that i dont know what i am doing that cost us the game Saturday"

I cannot believe he is still here

"They made it difficult for us"

So it's those nasty Yorkshiremans' fault

Naughty Barnsley, they must remember to roll over and die for us next time

We came up with a new song in the Cons saturday, we actually laughed when they said we were 3-0 down. (I stayed in the club, and about 20 people appeared just after 2-0 down who had already left the debacle)

    "So sh** its funny"
"We are so sh** its funny"

I'm one more bad preformances from thinking exactly the same.

There must be a very good reason why he hasn't gone already.
