Hell of a shot, though. Keeper never moved; beaten all ends up.ShootersHillGuru said:Took three touches to beat that red plank !

Can only imagine how good it feels to rifle the ball in the top corner like that after being out for almost a full year.Charlton_Stu said:

Considerably cheaper than Teixeira, and a much better defender, so she's done quite well there.Henry Irving said:
Katrin signed that plank on 5k PW and a four year deal.ForeverAddickted said:
Dont diss the plank... Its on the Subs bench in case anything happens to Naby or Jason tomorrowShootersHillGuru said:Took three touches to beat that red plank !

In a full strength side, Clarkie will be like Garry Nelson - a game changer.
Start him - and put the oppo under pressure from the off.
Bring him on at 60 minutes - oppo don't know what's hit 'em.2 -
Can't see us starting with a midfield four like that very often - too lightweight for a Bowyer team. Pratley will play more often than not, with Clarke or Aribo dropping to the bench. In that scenario I'd leave out Reeves and put Lapslie on the bench.ForeverAddickted said:
Midfield of: Fosu | Aribo | Cullen | Clarke - Note thats not the position, just the four I'd startclb74 said:Also our midfields had no game time together
Lapsie might not be making the bench in months time
Bench of: Phillips | Sarr | Dijksteel | Ward | Reeves | Pratley | Vetokele
Nope - Lapslie unfortunately will have to return to the U23s | FA Cup | Football League Trophy, would still have him ahead of Marshall though who I think I'd sell in January
As others have said though, someone is always going to be injured and Lapslie is likely going to clock up well over 20 appearances in total this season (as long as he stay fit himself), which would be a very healthy number for a breakthrough season.
And that is of course assuming that the injury has not taken too great a toll on Clarke - something which is far from a certainty.2 -

Excellent news regarding Clarke.2

Excellent!!... Was a bit worried when he didnt play for the U23s this week and wondered when that first appearance would be0

Great news. Can i be the first to say "the return of Billy is like a new signing"0
-
Brilliant news, I look forward to seeing him back very soon.
Hopefully, he will be ready to play a small part in the upcoming cup matches in November.

Hope he doesnt overdo it, theres no need to foolhardy and delay his return.... in other words "Billy dont be a hero....".Chris_from_Sidcup said:Great news. Can i be the first to say "the return of Billy is like a new signing"

I think that one's not an issue anymore.thenewbie said:A match fit Clarke gives Bowyer the good kind of headache to deal with. His quality of vision and passing could raise the already dangerous Taulor/Grant partnership up even higher but how do you justify changing a team in such good form? And Fosu's suspension will be over before long...

Some good news,at last.
Billy Clarke will be travelling to Mansfield as we face The Stags in our FA Cup first round game on Sunday.
Lee Bowyer confirmed in his press conference this morning that the striker is looking forward to breaking back in to the team.

a very timely return given the injury situation.
thought during his first 10 games for us he was the stand out player, nothing spectacular (a bit of a Graham Stuart I think) but very comfortable on the ball and a clever player
will be great to see him back8 -
Reckon he'll nick the winner on Sunday. Nice if he did !Elthamaddick said:a very timely return given the injury situation.

Given our recent run of injuries I don't think this is the sort of language Lord Bowyer should be using.clive said:Some good news,at last.

We've covered head, shoulders, knees, and toes (knees and toes) so the last thing we need is "the back bone is disconnected from the hip bone" ...3 -
“A long eleven months for me. I’m over the moon to be fully fit and back involved. I couldn’t wait to be back on the pitch.”

I’ve had cup runs before where they’ve really lifted the whole city and the whole club
Just couldnt imagine London solely getting behind Charlton if we made it to the Quarter-Finals.
Guessing he's referring to those cup runs he went on with Bradford though1 -
He was on the pitch for 5 minutes and we scored. Let's hope he stays fit for the rest of the season.2

Whilst people lamenting the run of games we have coming up, I think this is a great opportunity for Billy to regain his fitness rather than playing in u23 games.4

Same for Patrick Bauer too who is reportedly returning tomorrowstop shouting said:Whilst people lamenting the run of games we have coming up, I think this is a great opportunity for Billy to regain his fitness rather than playing in u23 games.
