Relentless. Bellew managed to keep him off for a couple of rounds at the start but Usyk wouldn't be denied.0
-
End very similar to the Adonis fight ending.0

I like bellew but can’t stand him talking after a fight0

If he kisses Usyk one more bloody time......roseandcrown said:I like bellew but can’t stand him talking after a fight
Bit disappointed he hasnt mentioned getting home safe and sound to his wife and kids.8 -
Pure class from Usyk both during the fight and afterwards.
A proper champion and behaves accordingly - unlike pondlife like Mayweather and others.7 -
Can’t see how the Mexican judge had it 5-2 Bellew
Thought he won the first 3, Usyk took over after that.
The way Usyk sets up shorts, even setting traps etc a couple of rounds before was class. Intelligent fighter2 -

These Eastern European champions are so intelligent and cultured compared to the one dimensional money- obsessed cartoons like Mayweather.
Very good role models.2 -
Speaks from the heart, a bit cringey at times but a huge heart and a very honest fighter and man.roseandcrown said:I like bellew but can’t stand him talking after a fight
Fought above his natural level and in an era of cherry picking has never swerved anyone. Will miss him and miss supporting him against the odds.2 -

I quite like it but am a sentimental fool. I find him very honest and very raw, flawed and unpolished in an era of culture where most athletes and celebs are either vacous dullards or just bland PR moulded diluted soundbites.roseandcrown said:

As Hearne put it, in the last decade, he has gone from obnoxious gobby scouser to a nation cheering him on against world elite. His boxing ability and heart are the contributor to that shift.0 -
PS that female presenter is an absolute sort. My word.3

She is incredibly attractiveRodneyCharltonTrotta said:PS that female presenter is an absolute sort. My word.
She also knows her shit and is a good anchor for the boxing. I'm glad She has got the gig8 -
Going to be interesting to see how he steps up... If he can handle the size difference he will cause all sorts of problems in that division0

I was very close to her tonight and can confirm that television doesn’t do her justice.RodneyCharltonTrotta said:PS that female presenter is an absolute sort. My word.

Ok so after that performance from usyk against joshua? Who would win. Ive hurd very differance of opinions tonight0

Usyk has the skill, but will need to seriously bulk up I reckon. Joshua would swat him.hingicafc1986 said:Ok so after that performance from usyk against joshua? Who would win. Ive hurd very differance of opinions tonight

It’s very difficult to call as we need to see how big Usyk needs to bulk to, Joshua at 17 stone is easily at his most explosive dangerous self, I believe looking at Usyks frame 16 stone is something that’s achievable and still be the same fighter , he had 4 inch reach on Tony last night I believe so he is already quite freakish with his frame
There is no way that he can fight over 16 stone and still be the same fighter but when you look at Evander the real deal he was 15 stone ish at weigh in
It’s easy for pundits to say getting hit by a 18-20 stone man is something else
But the art of boxing is to hit and not get hit , Usyk is special and Hearn knows it AJ vs Usyk in April at Wembley , with Loma and crolla as the warm up
Would give Hearn more £££££s than any other fight out there
Usyk
Loma
Cannello
AJ
All within the match room stable that’s game over2 -
Waste of time. I'd give Crolla about as much chance as i do Fielding of beating Canelo.nth london addick said:It’s very difficult to call as we need to see how big Usyk needs to bulk to, Joshua at 17 stone is easily at his most explosive dangerous self, I believe looking at Usyks frame 16 stone is something that’s achievable and still be the same fighter , he had 4 inch reach on Tony last night I believe so he is already quite freakish with his frame

It's a showcase fight for Loma in the UK.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

Bit like this was for Usyk. I'm sure Hearn didn't actually believe Bellew had a chance, but now Usyk is a bit more of a name in the UK and more money can be made from him here.1 - Sponsored links:

It’s all about the money not the fight , last night Eddie paid Usyk a ridiculous amount of money and make no mistakes told him he’d earn 3 or 4 x that for the AJ fight but only if he is in the stable not outside of itChris_from_Sidcup said:

Same for Loma he would take crolla to school and then tuck him into bed but that’s not the point
It would be the biggest pay day of Loma career to date for a fight with zero risk same as last nights fight
It’s smoke and mirrors all about showing Loma and Usyk what could be

Just saw this on fb..
🙌 Oleksandr Usyk has now beaten:
🇵🇱 Krzysztof Glowacki in Poland
🇺🇸 Michael Hunter in America
🇩🇪 Marco Huck in Germany
🇱🇻 Mairis Briedis in Latvia
🇷🇺 Murat Gassiev in Russia
🇬🇧 Tony Bellew in the UK

I’m not a lover of Bellew, he reminds me of Karl Robinson, a walking cringeworthy cliche. However I respect, he’s never ducked anyone.
I’ve watched 4 Usyk fights now and I’m a big big fan. He’s my favourite fighter out there, just unbelievable and I hope he does a London fight so I can see him in the flesh, the bloke is sensational.
He done exactly what he done against Gassiev, sat back, sussed his opponent out and gave them a false sense of hope, then take him to school.
On a negative note, the commentary last night was fucking abysmal. Did anyone hear Adam Smith point out that Bellew’s bomber tattoo on his back wasn’t anything to do with the terrorist attack at Manchester arena, but was about his punching power - what the fuck was all that about??1 -
Complete bellend of a call by Smith it’s quite offensive when you think about itGreenie Junior said:I’m not a lover of Bellew, he reminds me of Karl Robinson, a walking cringeworthy cliche. However I respect, he’s never ducked anyone.

Totally came from no where and not one media agency has had the balls to question it
Yet again paulie malanagi called it correct with the scoring
Bellew into an early 3-0 lead then it was 4-3 and good night
Fuck knows what the others watch
Nigel Travis summed up bombers career in one tweet
Thank you @TonyBellew for the ride. You’ve been a great credit to our sport. I hope you enjoy the rest and a positive future. God Bless 🙏🏼
Perfect appraisal by a real boxing man no sly digs no blowing smoke up his arse just a real heart felt thank you

I had to rewind to double check that I had actually heard him correctly. I just don’t understand why he thought he should make that clear, as though we all thought Bellew had sworn allegence to isis ffs.nth london addick said:

I don't like Adam Smith anyway, he reminds me of the shitarses who hang around the king arsehole in the pub or at school. That comment from him last night had me yelling at the tv. Nobody who works for sky will pull him up on it and it was completely offensive and unnecessaryGreenie Junior said:

Talking about the fight though, only Malignaggi was seeing it objectively. It reminded me of the Brook v Golovkin fight when most of the country was willing Kell to perform a miracle but watch it again with the sound off normally helps and I couldn't hand on heart give Kell a round.
Last night Bellew had 2, 3 as good rounds and from 4 onwards Usyk had him worked out and was just waiting for Bellew to drop his mouth to the floor to catch breath. Bellew worked so hard to achieve what he did for the first 5 rounds he was gassed by the end of the 5th. Really blowing with his mouth wide open.
Everyone behaved with class afterwards and Usyk showed what being an elite level, classy fighter is all about. He was there to do a job, did it with aplomb and behaved with grace and dignity before and after3 -
