Mercury Rev - Bobbie Gentry's The Delta Sweete Revisited.
A cover of an album I've never heard of by an artist I've never heard of with each song sung by a different female artist.1 -
Denzel Curry's cover of Bulls Parade by Rage Against The Machine has made me run through about 18 brick walls.

I saw them around 93/94 at Wembley. Was the most boring gig I’ve ever been to. My then girlfriend was a big fan but even she was unimpressed.ken_shabby said:I caught a documentary about UB40 last night, I'd forgotten how good some of their early stuff was. Food for Thought, Don't Slow Down, Don't let it pass you by, King...… Some wonderfull tracks, and I'll be on amazon for the greatest hits at the end of the month. Sadly the second half of their greatest hits album I remember as being very average. Many Rivers to Cross is rubbish.
What amazed me was the state they are in now. Basically there are two UB40's, who hate each other with real passion. Their money evaporated, and sadly, they are face to face in courtroom battles and hatred. The documentary is calle d Promises and Lies and it's probably on YouTube if anyone is interested.0 -

Can't be worse than the Irish woman standing in on radio 5 this afternoon - I usually like the Irish accent but hers was unlistenable, exacerbated by her banging on endlessly about how amazing it was she was still going despite her bloody Brit award party hangover, advertising her unprofessionalismrememberbillybonds said:Virgin radio- do not want to be talked to like a 5 year old by Zoe Ball.0 -
as the usually deplorable but often dead right Clarkson J recently stated, the BBC is fast becoming a man free areaIdleHans said:

Enjoying 'Assume form' James Blake, despite being a 'popular' artist he does experiment and produce some beautifully layered soul.2

there has been a good 6 episode series on BBC4 that finished yesterday (should be on catch up) called 'The Defiant Ones'
all about the careers of Jimmy Iovine and Dr Dre.
I've seen two episodes so far and its worth a watch for the slick direction and the interviews from Artists that worked with them over the years. love the back handed compliments that Iovine gets from people like Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen.

I'm in the mood for some absolutely filthy, non-apologetic, New Orleans brass band blasts this morning.
So I'm kicking off with Hot 8 Brass Band - Sexual Healing:

Similar bands include Rebirth Brass Band; Youngblood Brass Band; the Dirty Dozen Brass Band; and the Soul Rebels.1
