This is our blip and wobble

Sounds like wishful thinking to me, rather than confidence.7

What about October?0

October wasn’t great (three or four losses?), what saved us from that was going on to win all four league games in November. Hopefully we can manage the same in March, although I’m not confident of that happeningForeverAddickted said:What about October?0 -

Is that Lincolnshire speak ?Lincsaddick said:we've been blipping, wobbling, willie wonkering then upscaling and soaring all season2 -
Defensively very solid, tidy midfield, good players all over the pitch, but just cant see where the goals are coming from.We cant break teams down,we have players who possess powerful shots, suggest we concentrate getting to edge of area and have a go.1

Is it a blip if results suffer after you sell your top scorer and don't replace him?5
-
Not a blip. A return to the long term average. Not enough goals. A midfield that can't score. I would also suggest selling a 14 goal striker in January without adequate replacement is a permanent impairment to the team.
I admire your optimism but i think it's detached from reality.1 -
This isn’t a blip. It’s the cumulative effect of an unbalanced squad and a brutal end to the festive period takeover optimism kicking in big style. Even when we were winning, I don’t think we played particularly well on the whole despite some excellent patches. We scraped wins and have defended solidly. Grant going has neutered us on the pitch and provided a huge blow to morale off it. I think we are in a proper slump and we could find ourselves out of the play offs in a few weeks time.2

This is my worry. The goals have dried up (which comes as no surprise when you sell one of your main strikers and don't replace him) and also teams have also sussed our playing style.0 -

Our ‘blip’ must be quite a long one in that case as we have only picked up 13 points from our last 10 matches, scoring only 10 as well.
This is a big wobble that needs to be sorted as soon as possible, if we are to finish strongly and in that top six.1 -
Blipping and wobbling ever since the Belgium snotgobling scrote bought us.

Never been consistent enough for autos. Lack of strengthening in key areas by a wankbucket of an owner means we may sneak a playoff place... then the lottery begins. It will almost be a shame if we go up and the turdburgler still owns us because we will leave the Championship faster than shit through a goose...2

This isn't just a blip. This is a team who categorically can't score.
Bring in a free agent striker or we're screwed.0 -
I SO want this to be merely a blip but, like others, I have my doubts.
I know the starting eleven has been disrupted time & time again due to injuries and suspensions, with Bauer & Bielik's coming back to back and overlapping with Lyle's "gardening leave".
And of course, Karlan's departure with no like for like incoming thanks to the Rat, hit us harder than some believed it would.
If ever it was time for some, who shall be nameless, to step up to the plate, it's now.....with knobs on.
IMO, it's time for Pratley to return to the battlefield to lend some strength as well as height to the midfield ....but it's time for the regulars in the side to pull out all the stops & to help their "fringe" team mates, such as young George and Anfernee to do the same.
Every game from now on in should be viewed a Cup Final, and with only one more midweek fixture remaining, ALL the lads should be able to give 100% every Saturday.
In Bow & JJ we trust but maybe it's time for Plan B, formation wise, from the off ?
OK . Just random thoughts from one of the faithful who honestly doesn't have the answer or even the right question as to what we might do to turn things around on the pitch.
I think we all know that SOMETHING has got to change to shake up this squad ....
....and it's got to start on Saturday.
The Fanackapans won't be at the match so we'll be relying on those hardy souls, equipped with their boxes & periscopes, to raise the away end roof with noise like the Wombles have never before heard.
The promotion push starts here !

I do feel one last decent run of form will come. Of course I may be wrong but I hope I won't be.

So is it a blip or a wobble from the play-off chasers?
“I can understand why people are saying that,” said Bowyer. “Because we ain’t won in four. But, for me, you can swing it around.
“We’ve lost one in four. On Saturday we created enough chances to win the game. For three of those four matches we didn’t have Lyle [Taylor] – and Karlan [Grant] left.
“I don’t think there is too much wrong. Saturday was a difficult game. They just came and made it difficult for us. We were the much better side and dominated the second half.
“They were diving in front of however many balls. I’m not going to criticise anybody, because the lads gave their all and it wasn’t a bad day. Okay, we didn’t get the result we wanted but the fans appreciated the effort everyone put in.
“It was disappointing, because we didn’t get the points we expected to get.”

Our season is over.
We will fall away now and at best scrape 6th.
We'll get double dicked in the playoffs just like last season.0 -
Barnsley, Pompey and Sunderland all at home tonight.0

But would I be lying if I said I was worried of coming down again? NO!But it might help get a sale for the club in the longer run and if we have the right backing even if we come down yet again it might help us build for a brighter future.0
