Ok I know who Tom Elliott is, as he's the guy who scored against Charlton at the valley playing for Wimbledon. I'm sure when telling my Brother about the game I used the same words as Motty ?
I better tell my Black friends in Brixton that I read and perform spoken word and Poetry with, that I have been outed as a racist.

The big worry is, we will  reach a stage soon when Black, white, mixed race, Chinese, Indian, etc won't be mentioned when giving descriptions of persons of interest to the police. Seems far fetched but we are tying ourselves in knots over being 100% PC.

Let common sense prevail and get rid of the bigots in society.

On a serious note it seems okay to routinely insult old people in our society. I was surprised when working in the NHS by the attitude of a lot of the staff towards the elderly.

Ageism remains a massive problem but there seems little desire to address it. A lot of institutions talk about diversity but seem happy to treat the elderly and disabled with little respect.

I think the question now is just how much alcohol is considered a high proportion?

It would certainly lower my weekly consumption figures if it turns out that a nice 6% abv craft ale isn't alcoholic.

It's easier for people like me who spend all their life on the internet and realise that you have to tread carefully these days.

However, the the poor sods who don't, get accused of racism, for an innocent comment that the savvy now recognise is not necessary and may cause offence.

It's not easy for the older generation to keep up.

Referring to someone as coloured uses to be considered as respectful, now you are branded a racist if you haven't kept up with how people want to be described. 

Mind you I'm not even certain of this as it appears to be ok to talk about people of colour (confident I hear a lot of actors saying this). but not coloured ?

I think we perhaps need a definitive list updated daily as to what is and what is not acceptable wording.

NB I wonder if anyone questions whether Motty is being bullied ?
