Not so much an over-reaction at a football match, more an under-reaction the rest of the time.cafcfan1990 said:Always an overreaction when it happens at a football match. Idiots like him do it every weekend out on the booze. It's got nothing to do with football and everything to do with him being a complete bell.2 -
I have no issues with Eric Cantona’s actions, nor should you.palarsehater said:But when a player does it is it acceptable? Cantona for example.13 -
I mean those sideburns do deserve a slap...
But seriously what a bell end to do that at any time especially a televised game! Moron.0 -
How can you justify punishing Birmingham more severely than any other club that fails to stop a fan coming onto the field of play during a match?Chris_from_Sidcup said:Wonder what the repercussions will be for Birmingham. Yes it's a fine line in that they can't control a lone nutter who decides to run on the pitch, but surely the FA will want to set an example and they'll be looking at a hefty fine or even suspended points deduction.1 -
No it's definitely an overreaction at a football match.Briston_Addick said:

Football always gets tarred with the 'thug sport' tag after an incident like this and it's always football's fault.0 -
In other news are Birmingham now the Bolton of the Championship? Quite a physical side right now.0

Great role model to his young kids.

How hammered must he have been to be in the sort of mood to go and do that? He must have started drinking at about 6am!

Agree as long as his justly harsh punishment is well publicised. The Organiser said:Punish the offender, prison i’d imagine and a life ban.
Then get on with things. Don’t give it the attention it doesn’t deserve.0 -
You look at that and think why. Moment of madness could lose him and his family everything.Uboat said:

Well not quite. A fan running on and lumping a player under other circumstances and at another venue could result in a riot. Could you imagine that twonk running on and chinning Lee Gregory at The Den for example. I would think that the action could easily incite serious disorder.cafcfan1990 said:Always an overreaction when it happens at a football match. Idiots like him do it every weekend out on the booze. So football violence / idiocy is different.1 -

Justice. Funny how the police reacted to the goal celebration quicker than the attack.1

Because this a bit more extreme. When was the last time you saw a fan run on the pitch and punch a player during a game?Red_in_SE8 said:
