Grealish is easily the best player in that league. Bloke looks a class above everyone whenever he plays.2

If he had a blade?? Right..it’s appalling behaviour but let’s not get into Alex Ferguson “he could have been killed” territory.guinnessaddick said:7 -

No place for that, regardless and period. Absolutely shocking
Villa players did well not to knock him out imo very professional1 -

I disagree. The bloke who did it obviously deserves locking up but there always seems to be a lot made about it when it happens on a football pitch. Security should undoubtedly be tighter, it should be extremely difficult for a spectator to make it onto the pitch, but these incidents are a lot rarer then the ones happening every night in clubs and kebab shops across the country but will lead to people talking about getting this shit out of our game etc. Of course it shouldn't happen but we are talking about a few isolated incidents rather than regular occurrences.AFKABartram said:

On fences, I once saw a bloke climb the one in front of the CBL end at the old Den and lay out the opposition striker - not from behind to be fair. Nutters will be nutters regardless. This guy deserves to be sent down and no doubt will be.4

@cafcfan1990
You obviously chose to ignore my previous post. If that Birmingham fan or anyy other for that matter had done that to a Millwall player at The Den it could easily have lead to a major incident. It’s not insignificant and must be harshly dealt with.2 -
Grealish 1 brummy 0
Final score hahaha0 -
Because it's happened on a professional football pitch and not in a kebab shop.cafcfan1990 said:

If it happened in a church or on stage at a tellytubby's reunion concert there would also be a big reaction0 -

They need to punish Birmingham and cancel Peaky Blinders, the only thing in 50 years which has made the city of Birmingham cool4
-
dickhead on the pitch seeking notoriety is a regular occurrence at St Andy's when they play Villa .. difficult to stop unless every inch of the pitchside is patrolled by stewards and o b .. the intruder ? .. a good kicking round the back of the stand should be the order of the day .. instead he'll spend a few hours in the nick and then get a community service order or whatever they're now called0
-
It was a photographer and not a Steward. He was protecting his equipment from getting trampled on by Grealish.guinnessaddick said:

Exactly, it hasn’t happened before. What did Birmingham do wrong other than allow a fan to encroach the field of play? This type of incident happens several times a season. I think it happened at the Valley a few months ago. Unfortunately in this instance it was a violent thug who will most definitely go to prison for a violent assault. The only way to prevent this sort of thing with 100% certainty is the return of fences. Which no one wants.Chris_from_Sidcup said:
Because this a bit more extreme. When was the last time you saw a fan run on the pitch and punch a player during a game?Red_in_SE8 said:
How can you justify punishing Birmingham more severely than any other club that fails to stop a fan coming onto the field of play during a match?Chris_from_Sidcup said:Wonder what the repercussions will be for Birmingham. Yes it's a fine line in that they can't control a lone nutter who decides to run on the pitch, but surely the FA will want to set an example and they'll be looking at a hefty fine or even suspended points deduction.0 -

I disagree, I think he’ll get a pretty harsh punishment and rightly so. If there is one area that leniency is not given, it’s when it comes to football fans.Lincsaddick said:dickhead on the pitch seeking notoriety is a regular occurrence at St Andy's when they play Villa .. difficult to stop unless every inch of the pitchside is patrolled by stewards and o b .. the intruder ? .. a good kicking round the back of the stand should be the order of the day .. instead he'll spend a few hours in the nick and then get a community service order or whatever they're now called0 -
Good luck to the Police trying to keep the two sets of supporters from each other.
That cowardly thug may have lost more than his liberty if his partner/wife takes the children away from him.
Still he's a hero to his fellow moronic blue Mates so it was worth it.0 -
The bloke that done Enklemen got 4 months, so this bloke is looking at more.1

What did that moron think he was going to achieve? Take points off the club, send a signal to any other dickheads who want to attack a player.!

Great role model to his young kids.
