Its not just me then, its a word I rarely use and usually in anger if Im honest not some stupid off the cuff term of endearment. Im older than you mate!AFKABartram said:
I really hate the growing use of the C word on TV and in the two episodes I’ve seen of this I’ve thought it was completely unecessary. Seems very cool now with new programmes to just chuck it in there for the sake of it.Its_Hamer_Time said:Absolutely loved it, brilliant writing and great use of the C word. A lot of laughter and tears in equal measure.
im getting old
I watched the first episode and to be honest as much as I like him I thought this was just cringey and I can't help feeling its a bit embarrassing...maybe that's his aim.0 -
Just finished watching it - some bits were very good and some were cringey. At times it was very one-dimensional and the nihilism was overdone but there were other bits I thought were excellent.
Watching this it's hard to work out what RG really thinks.0 -
I think Ricky Gervais is a total knob but enjoyed this. Not a masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination but very good.0

His golden globes speech is brilliant.14

The Di Caprio joke is great. Leo takes it well too.7

Not a massive Gervais fan but that monologue is fantastic0
-
Not usually a fan either, but he's nailed it there.0

The Epstein bit was brilliant.
"Sorry, I know he's your mate...."6 -

He’s fantastic. Proper laugh out loud moments littered throughout those seven minutes.0

Very rare that he doesn't, but I thought he was very good last night.blackpool72 said:I thought he came across as a bit of a prick tbh

Tom Hanks made himself look a right humourless bastard!4

Top notch. Had me in stitches watching it this afternoon.0

Brilliant.
I get why people might not like him but I love his style and the way he delivers his material.0 -
Doesn't write all of his own material.........0
-
I would pay big money to have him host the ESPY's. There are a few athletes who need to hear a monologue like this. Cough, cough Megan Rapinoe0
-
Excellent ... much better than the normal sycophants.4
-
He’s still gotta stand up there and deliver it tho. Impressive enough for me.PopIcon said:Doesn't write all of his own material.........1 -
