All a bit meh.....attacking threat either on the bench or at home.

Should beat the worst in form team who have lost their last half a dozen or so games. Anyone going for automatic promotion would obviously....

    This is Wycombe ffs.
If we can't win this then forget about promotion
Don’t always work out like that chief

Apologies to gatecrash a match thread but as we get a slightly different audience for these...

Its Upbeats Day on Saturday and around 30 fellow Lifers are signed up to participate in the walk.

We’d be over the moon for your sponsorship, big or small, to help continue the scheme

    Thanks a lot
  • Fine with this team. Solid defence, any midfield at this level with Cullen and Aribo is strong (I also thought Lapslie was excellent when he came on on Saturday), and one of the best strikers in the division with his fast improving partner.

Not our best team for sure but a team that should be plenty good enough tonight.

    In danger from shooting practice.
  • TBF Pearce was well up for dealing with Akinfenwa at the Valley - hopefully he will be in the same mood again tonight

    Hard working XI from Cafc.
All the flair players aren't starting.

Have a feeling this is why Pearce has been brought back in, enjoys the physical battle with a player like Akinfenwa.

Cullen is our best player and he is playing so no panic.

Pearce for Sarr isn't the problem here. TBH it's mostly Pratley

Nothing to do with WWFC vs CAFC, but a funny tweet about another of tonight's matches:

2' First shot goes to Wycombe as Kashket gets in an effort from the angle, but it's routine for Phillips. #wwfc 0 #cafc 0

1: early chance! Bayo chests down, Scotty collects, and drills low at Phillips from a tight angle. 0-0 #WYCvCHA

An early goal is going to be important against an opposition fighting relegation. I expect a physical game with a few cards. We should have enough to secure the win and another 3 points. Looking forward to a good match thread and a good game for the travelling fans.  COYR!!

3' Close! Vintage Vetokele as he hares forward, chops in and shoots, but Allsop makes a good save. #wwfc 0 #cafc 0

Yeah Wycombe have started on the front foot... Already being a big niggly though in closing down Dijksteel a few times

Foul by Nick Freeman (Wycombe Wanderers).

Anfernee Dijksteel (Charlton Athletic) wins a free kick on the left wing.

Good job Solly isn't playing. The kite may have seen a small mammal running around and thought it was dinner.

He might be on the small side but he is  as hard as nails and would not make a good dinner.
  • Now they've done it!!

Wycombe commentators have said there is nothing between the teams and you cant tell which is going for promotion

    Plymouth commentators made that error
