Hibs have announced that they are installing a new CCTV system that will give recorded HD coverage of every seat.

Now that kind of thing will stop me attending football.

1984 here we come.

    What are you doing that you dont want caught?


    Personally I am all for it and it would help to find and ban twats I:E people who throw things and those twats who think smoke bombs are a good idea(1 set of i  covered end at the pompy game the row behind me by kids, smoke went straight into @kellycafc who is asthmatic) also some twat in the covered end thinks its a good idea every game around the 60 minute mark to start smoking so it would stop that as well

    Smoke bombs and flares are a good idea tbh sounds like it would be more beneficial for clubs to install Fulham style sterile areas

    Those saying "I don't care if they violate my privacy; I've got nothing to hide" are misunderstanding the fundamental nature of human rights. Nobody needs to justify why they "need" a right: the burden of justification falls on the one seeking to infringe upon the right. But even if they did, you can't give away the rights of others because they're not useful to you. More simply, the majority cannot vote away the natural rights of the minority.

    Arguing that you don't care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don't care about free speech because you have nothing to say.

    Know what you mean, to be honest I dont care about what data is stored about me as have nothing to hide

    Its when they mess up and lose that data is when it becomes a problem

    Also if that data is being stored then they need to stop using it against that person to make companies richer

    I've not seen any evidence of it leading to a sterile atmosphere or a disaster.

    When we go into the ground we are on private property and accept as a condition of entry the ground regulations which include filming.

    I protested, as did many others.  Thankfully no one spotted me dragging the sofa onto the pitch : - :smile:

    They've had it for years at the Valley...I'm sure I recall seeing leaked footage of a couple shagging on the centre circle a few years back.
