A warm glow in my house right now.......I am beginning to believe we can do it.
Not necessarily automatically but on current form we need fear no one now in the playoffs.

What a second half performance. Must have been Phillips' easiest 45 of the season. Terrific to see Igor celebrate a goal and assist. One or two passengers first half, couldn't fault anyone second.
  • Brilliant result, tempered by the fate that Roland still controls things & most of the squad plus Bowyer & Jacko are out of contract - still, nice to have a positive feeling about the club!

Stunning second half performance , Bielik an absolute beast with his runs in the second half, more like a Vieira than a CB.

What a brilliant day, in a way I’m glad they didn’t have the keeper sent off, beating them with 11 rather than 10. Did Luton first half, Charlton win the match, £150 up.

Wow, just like the old days, absolute scenes as my kids would say, lost my voice.

Thought 2nd half performance was just sheer quality, had we played like that every week we'd be above Luton by a fair few points.

Bowyer is maturing as a Manager, his ability to change a game second half is pretty impressive.

Did Luton have a shot in the second half?

Thought Luton deserved first half lead but we could have had a penalty and hit the bar. Aribo and Williams didn't show up. Then the 2nd half we bossed from start to finish. Igor MOTM for me.

That was a brilliant victory against a very, very good Luton team. I thought they were the better side in the first half but our second half performance just blew them away. Automatics still look unlikely but just three weeks ago I would have said that was impossible - Bowyer and this team don't understand impossible. Sarr, Bielik, Vetokele all outstanding but the whole team and the staff should take a bow.

  • Agree on the save... Disagree on the penalty being a disgrace because he needs to consider the red card their 'keeper should have gotten and the penalty that wasnt given

All credit to Bowyer. He has this team ticking.

First half we were unlucky to go in one down but Luton had shown why they're top of the league. Their goal was clinically taken and they were dangerous every time they came forward. We were doing ok but did look a bit pedestrian when we came forward. Much the same as recent games to be honest and I didn't see that 2nd half happening.

But, second half was a different story. It took a little while for us to break them down but the penalty was the turning point. And, Lyle buried it. Thoroughly deserved as we had been pushing. Bielik was starting to really control the game breaking from the back and he laid the second on a plate for Igor who took it very well. I'm so pleased for Igor. And then, believe it or not, a quick 3rd from Lyle. This really was the stuff of dreams and Luton were shell shocked.

This must rank up there with one of Lee Bowyer's best coached games. An absolute masterclass of tactics and man-management. We were streets ahead of them in the second half.

Everyone was immense today really but special kudos must go to Bielik, Cullen, Williams (2nd half especially), Lyle and Igor. Especially Igor. I was so happy to see him score and the way he took it.

So, 4 games to go. There's still everything to play for. We win all our games and you never know. And, after today, even Luton might start feeling a bit twitchy.

Admittedly I don’t go that much now but can’t remember such a good performance in years.

Great time at the walk this morning and to top it all, my wife called me just before the end to see if I wanted a lift home.

Am now sat on the sofa with an ice cold beer and snacks watching a film together

Best result of the season - so far!  Who knows how it will end now as the table above shows how close the second to fifth places are. Charlton still have a very good chance of the Autos if they win all their next 4 matches and a few of the others wobble. Whatever happens, Lee Bowyer, Johnnie Jackson, and all the players have done a remarkable job with virtually no help or understanding from our incompetent owner. Well done all and I look forward to an exciting finish and promotion to the Championship as the ultimate reward.

    Amazing result

In the 17 games since we lost to Barnsley our record is W10 D6 L1. Barnsley are W10 D6 L1. And Luton are, you've guessed it, W10 D6 L1. Sunderland are on the slide having also only lost 1, W7 D9 L1

What a result , keeps the faint hope of autos alive but it’s gonna be play offs (imo)

watched on IPlayer on and off and the bits I saw first half Luton looked Pretty classy .
second half we were brilliant Bielik and he’s surging runs a highlight .

top two 2% ...... play off final winners 30%   .....play off final losers 48% ..... play off semi finalist losers 20%

Excellent performance. Blew away 28 game unbeaten league leaders. Nothing beats The Valley.

If Vetokele played like that every week I'd not have had a word to say against him. My concerns were nothing to do with his quality but his fitness. It seems he has made a breakthrough - even compared to the Wycombe game, he looked transformed. Let's see if he can stay in one piece now - if so, we will be absolutely fearsome for the other playoff contenders - if indeed it comes to that

    Brilliant. So good.

Am trying to figure out if our chances of 2nd went up or down, though.

What do the bookies say? I don’t have before and after data. Anyone?

Cracking end to end game. Even first half but we were immense second half. Seemed like 90 mins went by in 10.
