  • Shocked Ryan Day didn't get through that's a major player missing out. Some tough ones to call today should be exciting, hopefully they stream on FB somewhere like normal then I can watch while at work :)

As ever thanks for updates Paulie, we are nearly there now the big one!

  • Cheers Paulie, I noticed it on FB today it will be on both again :) which is good as I work from home..

I think Llang Wembo v Gary Wilson could be a cracker! Tough to call some of them today. KO 11am

Some other interesting ones, I have a 4fold (1 failed) but have a saver thing on it left: Joe O Connor, Wells, McGill - Noppon (out) , another one I did a yankee have 2/4 left Mark Davis + Joe Perry (Day + Hamilton lost)

  • im predicting 4/9 Chinese players to go through today, based on % I think they will win and totalled up to whole numbers would be 4-5

    Eg. Llang 50% chance

    Yan Bingtao 85%

    Yuelong 70%

    Lu Huotian  35% (tough draw)

    Tian Peng 60%

    Luo Honghao 40%

    Li Hang 55%

    Lu Ning 40%

    Xintong 50%

These are all made up guesses based on where I would mark them, I have not bet on them just wanted to put them somewhere :)

  • World Championship
    3rd Qualifying Round
    1st session scores

    Gary Wilson 5-4 Liang Wenbo
    Rob Milkins 7-2 Anthony McGill
    Martin Gould 5-4 Daniel Wells
    Michael Georgiou 5-4 Yan Bingtao
    Zhou Yuelong 5-4 Eden Sharav
    Lyu Haotian 5-4 Mark Davis
    Thepchaiya Un-Nooh 5-4 Joe O'Connor
    James Cahill 6-3 Michael Judge
  • Just like to add a point about James Cahill a player who isnt a tour card holder, he has now earned a tour card by being 1 of the top 8 on the 1 year list outside the top 64.

To earn a tour card that way as an amateur when you are limited in the events you can play in shows what a fantastic season he has had.

Mark my words he will be a top 64 players this time next year and top 16 in the future

Did he have a tour card before and struggled? I think he was on the tour before dropping off last year and didn't get in via Q school?

agree fantastic achievement getting a tour card (Did he miss out via Q school last year, sounds familiar) Him and Joe O'Connor have both had fantastic season and both ones to watch in the future. There should be a few others but they aren't quite reaching their potential same with some of the Chinese players it could soon be a new era once the golden 90's people retire (Ronnie/Higgins/Williams etc)

Yeah he had a tour card between 2013 and 2017 he reached a high of 76 in 2015 but he was obviously younger and has improved so much since then.

    7 debuts -Highest ever

    6 Chinamen qualified - Highest

Could be very interesting , waiting for the draw to see what shocks we can predict :) I think their might be a few

I watched the last bit of judgement day not sure how Donaldson got over the line there 9-4up to  9-9 was a very nervy last frame. My 5fold came in which was a nice bonus: Davis, Dott, Li Hang, Carter, Tian

overall players to qualify accy think I was 2/4 in both :(
