Seeing as there has been the big film debate, what's your top three ?

1. Goodfellas
2. LA Confidential
3. The Champ

Likely to be a contender for the worst three !

I reckon my three are worse than yours AFKA. Problem is there are too many great films to make a top three out of. Love all the matrixs, american pies, basketball, shawshank, usual suspects, ronin, joe dirty, friday triology, la confidential, happy gilmore, billy madison, T2, Van Wilder, Seven...The list is endless.

    2) Blazing Saddles - telegram for Mongo
3)= The Blues Brothers - Belushi and Ackroyd were superb and the music just perfect
3)= Midnight Express - remember first watching it in an open air cinema in Greece with Greek subtitles. The Greeks loved it!

How could I forget Team America, what a great film!! Might stick it on now actually...That and Lucky Number Slevin are the best two films I've seen in a long time! Gotta love a bit of Star Wars too, hehe :)

The interesting thing to me is what people use as a guide for a great film. For me it is films I can happily watch time and time again.

I have seen many really good films that lose a lot of their appeal after the first viewing.

Se7en is one of those, Usual suspects suffers similarly. Both fantastic films, with great scripts but lose their lustre once you know the endgame.

Not everyone watches a film tine and time again - once I have seen a film I am unlikely to see it again for at least ten years if ever, no matter how good

but isnt it also about coming out of the cinema and saying "what a great film?" and talking to your friends about it.

    However in no particular order......

    Chariots Of Fire

Mrs Doubtfire (my kids have all loved this film and so it reminds me of them)

    The 10 Commandments
