Similar situation to Bradley but I think he supports Charlton

Supported I'm afraid. Jack passed away last year.

For those who are a confused by the slightly cryptic posting so far:

Bradley Lowery was a young Sunderland fan who died aged 6 on 7th July 2017. Jack Jeffreys was a young Charlton fan who died aged 4 on 21st July 2018. Both died from neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer.

I don't know anything about the applause other than what I've read on this thread, but would assume it refers to the day/month of their untimely deaths.
  • I'm assuming this was done at both club's home fixtures.

I’m aware. Still unclear what the significance of the 7th minute is.

Have both families asked for this or are people on twitter etc just spreading it without their approval?

I don‘t see a single mention of it on the Bradley Lowery Foundation account.

I think he's just making the point that these things are overdone - all a bit OTT. I'm sure both have had memorials.

Bradley Lowery died in 2017 - there was definitely a memorial then.

With it being a very very rare cancer and the boys from each of the clubs playing I guess it would be something to unite fans for a minute.
