    God Bless Betty - Charlton to the end. Will miss our pre match drinks in Crossbars with Theresa but know you will always be there at the valley in spirit. RIP

    "can I go on Betty's coach." Sums her popularity, devotion not just to Charlton but her fellow fans. Thoughts and prayers at the moment to a true Charlton legend.

    So true actually. I'd always hope I was on her coach. Says it all. Very, very sad day today.
