Let's hope they manage to get serving staff that have a brain between them in.

Interesting, the first time they've done a stadium. It'll either be much better than before or initially a disaster!0

And a better choice of food. Fed up with chicken and mushroom pie or a cheese and onion paste whatever it was. I hate mushroons.0

maybe more than 14 chips per portion?2

Mitie, they are no better than the last but a lot worse than many.
Football stadium catering for the masses is crap and will remain crap until fans demand better and stopped excepting poor quality.

The level of service can be improved though. Buying a coffee from the portable stall at the Doncaster match was a painfully slow process, not helped by the server not knowing what Bovril was! Clearly the 3 minutes of training he got didn't cover the full range of their products...charltonkeston said:Mitie, they are no better than the last but a lot worse than many.

As said on the Bowyer contract thread earlier this week, Creative Events are currently advertising for a Charlton General Manager £45k - £55k.

I used to work for Mitie property Services, I hope that the Catering side are better than the property. Needless to say they lost the contract I was working on & i tupeed over to the company who won the contract. First stadium contract ? Probably doing it dirt cheap just to get a foot in the door2

must be doing it dirt cheap or worse if the helmet has sanctioned it cos y'know all those overheads are critical to the business sale, huh?charltonbob said:I used to work for Mitie property Services, I hope that the Catering side are better than the property. As it’s always been at The Valley it’s not so much what we sell , it’s the numpties behind the counter selling the stuff .3

The food in the Millennium Suite was always tasty...but expensive
The drink in the Millennium Suite was just fucking expensive....and slow
I was once charged £7 for a pint of lime and lemonade..£2.50 for a lemonade - doubled because it was a pint. Then £1 per shot of lime juice.
Some of the staff were really good but some were absolute fuckwits. Let's see what next season brings1 -

Funniest thing I saw was in Crossbars where someone ordered a pint of Murphy's and the barman poured it away because he thought it had gone off! Also, at the play-off semi against Donny, my boy ordered 4 drinks and the bloke tried charging him £47.
Worst thing, he didn't know how to work the till so had to call the manager - the delay went down well with dozens of punters at the bar.
I understand that the young people are not sufficiently trained up but I suppose if you pay £3 an hour that's what you get.

I have emailed them to ask about their vegan and vegetarian offerings.14

I think I was directly behind your boy, was he the one that walked away with the drinks and told the barman to "come and find him when it is sorted out"?addick05 said:DaveMehmet said:Let's hope they manage to get serving staff that have a brain between them in.
