I almost agreeing with you here but you’ve not factored in the fact we’ve come off the back of a euphoric win at Wembley and you’ve come off the back of 21st place, I’m not saying that to say ha I’ve got you here, but I think the momentum we have will play a big factor.MillwallFan said:

I would say that a fit Williams is better than any Millwall player, so a strange thread to make that particular comment.1

Yeah agree momentum can play a huge part, like when we got promoted, the following season we nearly made the play offs. Difference is we kept that team together. A lot of your players who won at Wembley are no longer at your club.BR7_addick said:

Williams turned the play-off final our way, just before he came on Sunderland were starting to dominate possession. He came on and ran at them, causing them to retreat or foul him. People talk about bravery when talking about penalties or midfield battlers, but his display that day epitomised another form of bravery. He wanted the ball and ran with it knowing he was about to be clattered.32

I'd love to see him make the move that Reeves did last season into one of the 2 CM roles. I think he would be able to have more of an impact on games and dictate at more from deeper without losing his driving runs forward.0

If Williams signs today I think that explains why our trying to get Oztumer died away.
We were never going to get both and I think Williams was always Bowyers 1st choice.2 -
