if he wants to stay locally as in london who else would sign him

fulham - would not start expect them to romp it this year, mitrovic signing is a big striker
    brentford ?
qpr - no better than us
millwall - worse than us and we will finish above them this season harris signings show he is not going to change the way he plays and the fear of the den isnt enough to get them results anymore
I’m not sure if that’s a serious post or not but if it is then that’s probably the most delusional thing I’ve seen on here.

You think we’ll finish above millwall , no way without a takeover , the bargain basements will need to be miracles as well as some miracle loans required .
I’m not saying we’re going to set the league on fire, but with the business we’ve done over the summer (not just who we’ve brought in, but who we’ve got rid of as well) then I’d much rather be in our position than yours. And I think that any neutral player looking from the outside would think the same.

I almost agreeing with you here but you’ve not factored in the fact we’ve come off the back of a euphoric win at Wembley and you’ve come off the back of 21st place, I’m not saying that to say ha I’ve got you here, but I think the momentum we have will play a big factor.

You've got to ask yourself, do you really have nothing better to do than check a Charlton fans forum on a Thursday afternoon?

I would say that a fit Williams is better than any Millwall player, so a strange thread to make that particular comment.

Turn it in. We’ve just beaten Dagenham 4-0. Not only are we the best London team in the Championship, but the best team over all.

Yeah agree momentum can play a huge part, like when we got promoted, the following season we nearly made the play offs. Difference is we kept that team together. A lot of your players who won at Wembley are no longer at your club.

Suspect there will be a bit of a teaser on Twitter first.  Keep checking it.... I guess they might combine it with the launch of the away strip...

  • Have renewed my season ticket in the hope that he
would sign again for us. What a class player.
Renewed after a 4 season absence just to Roland!

If we keep him fit for most of the season, this is an outstanding singing. He's someone who can make things happen, someone we desperately need in that midfield.

    That’s an enormous “if”!

Will pleased if we get him, not sure if we can really build too many of our plans around him however.

I'd love to see him make the move that Reeves did last season into one of the 2 CM roles. I think he would be able to have more of an impact on games and dictate at more from deeper without losing his driving runs forward.

If Williams signs today I think that explains why our trying to get Oztumer died away.
We were never going to get both and I think Williams was always Bowyers 1st choice.

only thing i dont know is why williams has not played in any pre season so far? and it isnt because he hasnt signed because harriot has played twice

It is because he hasn't signed yet, he made the decision not to play in case he gets injured and is then left without a club etc. Harriot obviously chose to ignore that risk.

He went away for a few days.
  • All the rumours are 100% true. Just spoke to Jonny’s best mate and he signed this morning.
Oztumer  deal was dependent on Jonny signing or not. Got to feel for the bloke.

Dont worry should be able to get both when the Lookman sell-on money arrives

Id imagine he went to explore other options which turned out not sufficiently better than ours.  He must be well aware how well he was received as an ex-Palace player

He will probably dislocate his shoulder putting it on.

I've just been told he signed a contract with us this morning
someone put it up on Facebook earlier today but no source quoted.  Hope it's not just snowballing from some prepubescent twunt who now thinks he's a hero
I'm not on FB and I believe my source (he wouldn't have read it on FB)
What we need here is some sort of acronym.

Something that suggests we should only believe the veracity claim such as this once it is transmitted by our media team and it is placed in a suitable location on the world wide web.  I wonder if such an acronym exists

    @Henry Irving can you assist?

PS - Chuffed if we have got him

After 17 years at Palace - I was amazed that the Covered end were chanting his name on his first appearance in a Charlton Shirt...Mind you - he did make one hell of an impact!
