After today, is there any chance of Duchatelet having a re-think?

You are misunderstanding everything I say. I suspect we are travelling down the same road.
I meant in the championship.

No. He will more likely sell Taylor and Djiksteel to ensure relegation as Championship expenditure is much too much for him.2
-
He knows it isn't. As airman has said, he is heading for a small operating profit this season.1

usetobunkin said:He is not interested in Charlton Ath, as he said he spends 2% of his time worrying about us. He wants out, but wants to cover his losses, so he can say how clever he was.
He wants to build houses at Sparrows lane and develop the Valley. He could do a deal tomorrow if he wanted too, just greedy. Typical capitalist, masquerading as a socialist!
Having said that, who the hell has any idea what his end game is, especially when he is busy publicly recommending to prospective buyers not to buy.3 -

I’ve said it previously so sorry for repeating but I really wouldn’t waste any time trying to figure out Roland’s motivations or mindset.2
-
Duchatelet is always right, and he is prepared to lie through his yellow teeth to prove it. He will never change1
-
No. In fact expect at least one valuable player to be sold and can only hope Bowyer can get at east three players in. If not, despite yesterdays great result, we will struggle. Too many good clubs with quality players and this will catch us out over the long run.0

no point in applying logic to RD and his ego.
should he ?
could he ?
it just dosnt hold with him.
If he gets offered anything near £1.5 mill by MBoro he will take it and Bowyer will see shrapnel if he sees anything0 -
There is more chance of @Henry Irving running round Floyd Road and Harvey Gardens after Museum closing time clad in nothing but a half done up cardigan than Duchatelet 'changing.'
In my opinion.0 -
I have no idea why anyone might think yesterday's result could in any way change the mind of someone who doesn't even want the club he owns to be in The Championship.

No matter what the result was against Blackburn - or in any other game this season - he will conclude that his strategy is working, as planned.0

More likely to sell him for a song in January, that fits his MO more.0 - Sponsored links:

Why would he, everything he’s done so far has worked well!0

As to the original question a great win doesn't change Roland's mind but a victory at Blackburn might? No way.1 -
If by rethink you mean Duchatelet deciding he no longer needs to budget for 5 loan players, then I think it is quite possible.
Unfortunately.2 -
Like he did after Wembley? Or when we lose players for peanuts that go on to sell for decent money ?
.... no not a fkin chance1 -
He had a rethink when he stopped giving long contracts to untried players in mediocre European leagues and trying a variety of English managers
The bridges have been burnt on both sides.
By the fans making it crystal clear they don't want him and the writing was on the wall or the glass of his property and Roland becoming Mr Miser when his network and his Visionary ways were seen to be a dud.
Only Roderick Duchatelet could possibly affect his thought process. He appears to be mute but may be worth a response ?
Has the son ever commented on Cafc ?
Lateral thinking is needed to unseat "The Roland"
Lateral thinking by creating a political party achieved the aim of back to the valley by getting to the heart of the problem.
The Russians get rid of their dissenters by Poison, the opposite maybe the only thing that works in the case of a stubborn 73 year old, who is losing money on a failed vanity project.
I believe that Duchatelet's family need to sweet talk him into handing over the keys.
Do we know what they thought of the 30 million pound offer ?
The protests worked in getting KM to move on and the club to be put up for sale. But the Graffiti only achieved a new best friend in Jim White. Not strictly true as more incoherent ramblings meant even our arch enemy Simon Jordan is fighting our corner, but still no sale.
A win at Blackburn has no bearing other than Roland thinking that Bowyer is the best possible manager of Cafc after his favourite Chris Wilder.
What or who prompted that 10 pm phone call to Lee Bowyer upping his offer ?
The only aim is for Duchatelet to move on and take his place in the house of horrors in the Museum as the EX owner of Cafc.
Could the family have said if you let Bowyer walk we will get coach loads of disgruntled fans on our doorstep with more than spray cans ?
Just my opinion, which is no better or worse than any other But is different to what I have heard so far.
Ps. Even death by misadventure for Roland brings us back to Roderick or a family member I would assume, so even if Villanelle from killing Eve is available it won't end the Duchatelet era.1 -
Us mere mortals should not seek to try to understand the thoughts and motivations of a great visionary. He moves in a mysterious way. You only have to watch him dance to appreciate that.5

Nothing would surprise me personally. I wouldn't be surprised if he finally sold at a massive loss (a sensible price to the rest of the world) tomorrow, the samea as I wouldn't be surprised if he pumped £15m in. I think people need to be wary of treating RD like other people, it's a bit like treating a dog or cat like a person imo.
As said before, I reckon the blokes definitely got a mental / personality disorder going on.0 -
