The ground is about 30 minutes walk from Wigan North Western station.
Wigan is a great place for a drink, particularly The Anvil next to the bus station, only 5 minutes walk from WNW station.0 -

When you say split ticketing @Charlton_Stu, how does that work.... a bit like the 'Manningtree Trick'?
My Son seems to wants to go, but obviously tickets are more expensive now (£88.50 return for me and a 10 year old).
Cheers

Heading up north on the Friday then dragging 3 Blackpool fans down to the game Saturday. Cracking bar crawl in Wigan.1

Thanks Chaps,
Yep.... I had my Annual Gold Card in, but the Family and Friends gives a larger discount.
Yep, see it's £47.60 on family and friends... 10:36 out 18:29 back.
Would this normally be any cheaper split ticketing via Wolves Elfs?

The £47.60 is not too bad ETEastTerrace said:Thanks Chaps,

Even if youd booked a couple of months ago wouldve been nearly £40.
Wolves is cheaper but a longer journey0 -
I'll double check if he deffo wants to go.clb74 said:

@clb74 is correct. Doing my way is no guarantee BUT the 2 or 3 times I have done this I have saved between 10-£15 overall.clb74 said:

The journey is an hour longer maximum.0 -
Yeah pretty much what @ElfsborgAddick said although in my case it's Rugby, so i have 10.36 - 11.24 Lon to Rugby then 11.28 - 12.43 Rugby to Wigan on the same train, coming back it's 6.29 - 8.42 Wigan to Rugby then 8.43 - 9.57 leaving Rugby. A good app i have on my phone is TrainPal it brings all the cheapest fares up and times, with money off every now and then as well.ElfsborgAddick said:
