Wales completely blow a four-on-two in the last minute, game they should have won, might regret it
  • Jonny looked more like a million pound player than Bale IMHO - and he didn't look injured thank God!

Williams puts in a corner that's much better than Cullen's usual. Get him on 'em Lee
Cullen is also (marginally) more of a physical presence than William's.

I see Scotland are doing well...
I think 4-0 was respectable result for them.

Williams doesn't really have a slide tackle in his repertoire does he

  • Trying to think of the last time we had 2 players start an international. Kinsella and Kiely immediately spring to mind, don't think Parker played in Sven's subfest v Australia. Probably missing something obvious.
Kiely Kinsella and Holland have played for Ireland in the same match.

So good having Williams and Lockyer starting last night. Got to be proud of their achievements.

One thing I got to say about this international break is the amount of players who have withdrawn themselves from the England U21 squad is pathetic. It almost means that Gallagher is bound to play where he would otherwise had probably been on the bench. The type of players too who have withdrawn says it all. Premier League clubs players, “precautionary measure”, “fitness concerns” oh do one, if you’re not committed to playing for England U21, then I don’t want you near the squad anyway when we all know they’ll be involved in their clubs next week. Really frustrates me and seems like we are a nation that does this a lot.

On BBC the Wales player rating, Williams came 3rd and Lockyer last, but who cares as long as they are not injured

Keyel and Hemed played alongside each other in the last international break IIRC.  Don't think Hemed started though.

The under 21s are live on You tube channel tomorrow.
On now - England just scored a penalty.
Conor Gallagher is on the bench

    Good call.
Holland may have still been at Ipswich when they all appeared together.

Holland and Kinsella never played together for Charlton.

Could Adam Matthews join his two colleagues to create history?

Shaun Bartlett and Mark Fish would've played in the same team whilst being Charlton players.
  • Claus Jensen and the keeper we had, for Denmark?

    Stephan Anderson

I think he joined the same year Jensen left, so not sure if they played for us together

Edit: just looked Anderson joined in June 2004 and Jensen left July 2004

Lockyer dragged out of position for that goal, chased a player out wide which left a gap in the CB position when the shot came in
